So while we were making a garden in the Nether and setting up the plumbing we ran into a problem. I had put the source as high up as I could to make sure that there would always be enough to tap. Well in that long, dark tunnel it seems that squids are able to spawn. And spawn they did. It was fine at first with one squid, http://i731.photobucket.com/albums/ww316/SimpsonFly/Minecraft/javaw2011-02-2512-07-40-09.jpg However bob then went into the plumbing and ended up in the wheat farm. That wasn't a problem as another Bob soon replaced him! He was played with until he, too went literally down the drain. This went on for a while until squids started to be more and more frequent, getting to the point of multiple "Bobs" in the pool at once, all getting svcked into the plumbing. Eventually it got so bad that the wheat farm was literally flooded with Bobs. Needs less to say, this had to stop. I set up a cactus in the pool and a series of blocks in the pipe to block the squids, this seems to block most and kill the ones that get through.
