I'd really like to play it, but I have no credit card. So no Minecraft for me ;_;

The free version is really stripped down compared to the paid version. It's not nearly as fun.

Our multiplayer map is coming along really well. Just lost a load of sand to the furnace bug again though :|

Anyway, I need to regain some self control and go to bed.

and sorry for opening up a passage to a cave full of zombies :(

Anyway I hope they fix the damage thing soon. I want to go zombie hunting with you guys.

I tried getting this Hamachi thing so I could play with you guys, but when I googled it the first few things were all "buy Hamachi" or some variant of that and I'd rather not pay for something that I wouldnt even have any use for except playing online multiplayer minecraft.

On a side note, I just fully explored the cave system that was linked to my first home, and even ran into a monster spawner :3, now I'm currently building a skyway made of nothing but glass to this other mountain just about 10 blocks away

So I just managed to log into the BGSF network succesfully... 5 minutes later my computer froze completely. And again after restarting, and over and over, even with Hamachi disabled so I had to do a system restore. Luckily that worked.

Either it was Hamachi, or my new printer. I hope the printer, because I can probably find the solution for that.

Hamachi download link (free version): https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi2/download.aspx

Use unmanaged mode.

I should really write a complete guide for this and have it on the front page of the thread :P. If Nantucket doesn't mind I would be quite partial towards starting thread #2 (giving him credit for the original creation, of course), listing server details (and rules), hamachi info, and a bit more game info.

This game is fantastic. I might have a go at multiplayer tomorrow night, provided I can get it all working smoothly.

I have been playing this game so much these past couple of days, my right shoulder is cramping up from holding my mouse so long. This game is addictive, one wouldn't think so just by looking at it.

I believe this game has potential, lots of it. I think it may become the next Farmville.

Server broke down?

Well if that world was saved, my Epic Barad Dur fortress is finished. Connected to huge tunnel network which runs across world.
Now I just need to figure out how I can make my own lava river. So far attempts with buckets have failed.

Once we get actual multiplayer that plays like SSP, I'm thinking of getting us a vent server, they're pretty cheap. I just wish Hamachi (haven't downloaded yet) supported more than 16 players in the free version.

I was looking at server listings and prices... man those are expensive, otherwise I'd totally buy us a dedicated server so we could have dozens if not hundreds of BGSF Miners in one world.

I'd ask Wambit to set it up tho.... It's all greek to me :P

Well I'm pretty pissed now that we lost our progress AGAIN, and this time with a planned server restart instead of a crash. I hope it gets solved.

Of course, I still appreciate that this server is set up for us. :)

Well the multiplayer server isn't in the best state of health right now - we've lost a good couple of hours work. Back to single player for now, where I'll no doubt forget all the things that can actually hurt me and die on a regular basis.

Don't know if you guys know this or not but you can download skins for your character, my character currently looks like iron man :P the skins you have to find on some other site unless they are on the official forums too but this is where i found mine http://www.worldofminecraft.com/forum/50 (gotta have an account there to download skins)

then you just download it, log in to the official minecraft site , click on preferences up at the top, and you'll be able to view your current skins, and change it as well

Not everything, but we lost 2 hours of progress after the first crash, and after the restart we also lost something like that.

Well, I hope Barad Dur still stands...

Once multiplayer is fixed and our characters can take damage we should start from the begining and make one huge fortress and fight against undead :)

Why am I such a moron? so I went exploring with ALL 90 of my minecart tracks, and of course, died and lost alot of stuff(including 2 buckets), and the worst part is that I haven't been able to find iron ores lately....
but I respawned near my house. Oh and I got Hamichi, how do I join the server?
