I just spent all afternoon on the game when I told myself I wouldn't.
I was going to stop...but then I loaded a snow world. Snow! Of course I had to look around, and I eventually figured out ice. Well obviously I now have to make a magnificent tower of ice to assert my prowess over this cold northland. After building a basecamp of wood I picked a spot in the hillside to mine for metals, so I could make a bucket to carry water. I mined...and mined...and mined...eventually I reached adminium bedrock without nary an iron ore in sight. That was when I found the redstone. Piles and piles of redstone, illuminating the darkness when I struck it with my pick. I used what little iron I had to make a pick and mine it.
After I got back up to the surface, filled to the brim with stone, I took my new bucket and got some water. I thought it'd be easy. Just build a mould, pour a bucket of water into it, and let the result freeze.
I didn't realize it'd only freeze one block of water at a time. So I've been going back and forth with a bucket of water trying to build my ice tower.
