So you can put a door in the floor for cellars and stuff, or traps.

GAH! I've gotta vent... I've been working on the rail-station I've recently installed under my house, and I was running up to the top of one of my towers to gather sugar cane from a small farm I've got up there. I forgot to put my powered rails into a chest, fell, and found literally everything BUT the powered rails. >.<

It's going to take forever to get enough gold to replace those rails. :banghead:

Welp... I accidentally set fire to the city this morning. Was testing out a fountain design that involved burning netherrack in a ring around a central lava pillar just outside of our fort, since it was too big to place inside the fort. Night fell while I was setting the nettherrack on fire, and a zombie spawned in a tree that was a little ways above me, just enough distance to be flame-safe.... So I thought. That zombie thought it would be awesome to banzai leap outta that tree, smack me off the ring of nethherrack, and make me set fire to the tree directly. Of course, it promptly caught, and proceeded to spread, and spread, and spread...

Luckily, Undone was on, so he made it rain before the fire got too far. But a bunch of wood got taken off the top of our walls, and about a dozen trees bit the dust. There was also a wooden structure near the original tree chain that got set ablaze, belonging to 'pwnageking' whoever that is on the server. I only know that because the chest that he has and the crafting table are floating above the earth, so I checked the 'Private' sign on it for the owner's name. There's not a trace of it remaining...

I've since replaced the wood along the top of the walls, and replanted about 8 trees - though it's still a little thinner than it used to be, to prevent it spreading so crazily again should another accident happen - but that building I don't know the blueprint for. I have no idea what to place where, so until an admin can give me a frame so I know what to replace and where, I can't rebuild it. However, once a frame's up, I will gladly replace the building.

Turns out the fountain looked terrible too, so the design didn't even pan out. All that damage over nothing. =/

My apologies for essentially dropping napalm in the middle of the city, and I'll endeavor to be more careful in the future. Like avoiding using a flint and tinder at all. xD

Yes, I know I've been slacking posting that Share map status, but I've been busy - plus, as I've said, I'm interested in letting the players involved take their own initiative with uploading and editing on time rather than being the Share map's overseer/babysitter. I already know I'll have scant little time to do much for my own turn, though I'll put some effort into it.

Sorry, I meant to take my go but I never managed it because my computer started screwing around. Hopefully I'll be able to play again by June 20th, but I've got to send my computer back so I can't make any promises, only this time I'll try and post something if I can't do it.

I was thinking of some ground rules for forts:

You cannot enter an enemy fort unless at least 1 of its members is online.

You cannot use stacks of blocks to get over walls, ladders must be used.

You cannot mine through fort blocks.

Chest locks are not allowed in a fort or on buildings that are on its property.

can anyone else think of some?

Well I don't know about no locked chests. I like to have my stuff.

Also, I propose a rule of no door locks, since those are literally impossible to do anything about, thus are unfair.
