I'm hearing "Tiger Woods say ah!" and "Johnny saw my wang!" in my sleep.

Question....

Is it me or is this game adapting to the way you fight/play?

Exsample.

Playing as Stryker the game (during Arcade mode so to speak) seems to adapt itself and know when I'm about to pull of an attack or the next attack (spamming Sidearm or tossing grandes) . Another thing I find annoying is that if both character are in the air the CP always seems override my input command and there for it will always attack me first...I hate it when a game does that. Other then that I like this game.

Also I like playing as Stryker, Jade, Kabal, Scorpion, Noob Saibot and Raiden.

Yep, that sounds about like a typical Mortal Kombat game. The AI is a cheating [censored]. You don't see this kind of behavior on the easier settings though.

Not during the earily parts of the arcade mode on the easy setting (yes I'm a noob at MK, I haven't play a MK game since the days of the snes), but I always seem to have the most problems with Shang Tsung and Kintaro---I hate Kintaro. At one time during a match I had to stop using Stryker and switch over to Jade and spam her Green Shield and Shadow Shield like no tomarrow in order to beat him. Shao Khan not's so bad---just don't get close to him same goes for Kintaro !!! Other then that I love this game.

Easy way to beat Kintaro is to hit him with an overhead punch followed up with an uppercut, over and over. The only difficulty is for some of his attacks you're going to need to jump behind him and give up on the overhead to avoid damage.

Kahn Killing in Story Mode:

These are the tools you need:
-Jump in punch then Uppercut combo
-Blocking
-Standard Lightning
-Enhanced Lightning

What you want to do is repeat this pattern:

1.Stand just outside sweep distance.
2. Tap Block, if he doesnt do a move, jump in combo. If he does a move, block it and jump over him and then do the combo.
3. After your combo connects, throw a meaty lightning. When Kahn gets up he will either eat it, or block it and build your meter.
MEATY-A PROJECTILE DELIVERED AS THE OPPONENT ATTEMPTS TO GET UP
4. When your meter is high enough, use an enhanced Lightning for extra damage.
5. Repeat

Additional Notes:
DO NOT GET HIT BY HIS OMGWTF! SLEDGEHAMMER!
The Combo hits twice, and thus breaks his armor frame.
If you want to get fancy, you can add teleporting behind him when he throws the hammer and hitting a combo.

Thats all that you need to do, but it is easier said than done.

I just Down, Up, Back, Forward LK whenever I saw him start an animation

King of the Hill is lagtastic.

Anyone figure out some decent combos for Raiden? I've been messing around a bit, the best I've gotten is only around 25% meterless.

Found an interesting combo for Jade that's fairly easy to pull off and does 24 percent damage. Get your opponent in a corner and tap X, O, ▲. This is a normal combo found in the moves list that knocks them up into the air. But in a corner it positions them so that you can easily finish off the combo with an uppercut for serious damage.

Edit: Sorry, those buttons are specific to the PS3 version. It's FK, BK, FP... uppercut.

What I found is useful is those fights is just to jump around all the time and foot sweep, uppercut or if they're out of range for uppercut then forward forward kick.

Biomed (I think that was you anyway, wasn't it?) whooped my ass earlier. I need to start focusing on one character. I mainly just random and I vaguely know all the characters (because I'm using Shang Tsung) and Sheeve I'm pretty good with, but she can't play well against fast opponents (smoke, in particular).

Yeah, I think it ended about right. Actually the ending reminded me a lot of the ending of the old live action series...

Spoiler
Raiden and Shao Khan face off in a similar fashion in front of a portal to Outworld. Shao Khan wins with a clever underhanded tactic, most of the heroes die as well as many of the villains, and Raiden defeated, kneels before Shao Khan in Outworld.

I just hate when I'm doing pretty good in a match and then the cpu just goes crazy and whoops my ass with a bunch of combos. Then ends up winning.
EDIT: Also what exactly can you buy from the graveyard?

You mean the Krypt I take it.

You can get all kinds of stuff, ALt-Costumes, more fatalities, production art, renders, ect. Lots of cool stuff.

It is also good to note though, you can get a character's alternate costume alternatively (see what I did there? ) by completing the arcade ladder with them.
And you can "unlock" fatalities in the move list by performing them once, if you know the inputs.

I personally went ahead and just bought out the entire Krypt for the achievement, and because I had a ton of koins after finishing story mode and getting into the 200+ levels of the challenge tower.

A few more little tips for anyone who may not be aware:

When selecting your character, if you press the start button (which lets you choose your costume) and press start again instead of pressing A (or X on Ps3) you will use that costume's alternate colors. Which are normally reserved for player 2 if you do a mirror match. So for example Johnny Cage's pants would be red instead of their normal blue

Similarly, when selecting a stage if you press start instead of A, (or X on Ps3) the klassic music will play for that stage. You'll know if the stage you selected has the klassic music option because you will hear Shao Kahn laugh after pressing start.

I thought the story was dope. I wasnt expecting for a story mode, or even for a story that good. Well, when I bought the game, I only knew of versus, ladder and king of the hill, so alota it boosted the game for me, espescially the story mode.

Biomed (I think that was you anyway, wasn't it?) whooped my ass earlier. I need to start focusing on one character. I'm alright. I still dont have combos down solid. I gotta practice more.

I go online and can't compete in King of the Hill alota times. The guy who has the hill is usually a beast.

I just hate when I'm doing pretty good in a match and then the cpu just goes crazy and whoops my ass with a bunch of combos. Then ends up winning.

I knwo some of you are against cheating.. but..

I dont wanna waste time on art work and music, I jsut want the fatalities in the menue and the alt costumes. So, cheats ftw

Thankfully we've got a handy guide that lists every item in the Krypt so you can unlock useful things like Fatalities and alternate costumes instead of character sketches and Scorpion fan fiction.

"Thank you for supporting Mortal Kombat! Due to the overwhelmingly positive reception to the game, Mortal Kombat has millions of online matches being initiated worldwide every day, and we have run into some unanticipated technical issues. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios are aware of the issues with the online gameplay – specifically with "King of the Hill" and Ranked 1 v. 1 matches - and we want to assure our fans that we are focused on resolving online issues ASAP.

We have added a “Technical Issues” section to our forum so please be sure to let us know what issues you are having so we can address those as soon as possible. Users will begin seeing improvements in online play over the course of the next two weeks. In the meantime please note that none of this will impact the single-player or offline multiplayer experience, and we greatly appreciate your patience!"

You know, I've gotten a few of those codes just by fighting, but I don't know where to input them. Where do I do this?

The versus loading screen. When the match is about to start, both players need to hit 3 buttons N times to enter the code. I think, for example the zombie kombat code would have each player entering:

FP, BP, FK six times each, to get the code

player1 : 666 | 666 : player 2

I went on an 11 win streak yesterday on king of the hill using Johnny Cage and Raiden. I finally got beat by a good Smoke player although it was close.
