I don't really think some of the single player arcade ladder fights are balanced. I don't see how it's possible to beat Shao Khan without resorting to cheap tactics, seeing as he only taunts really if you're far enough away from him and he destroys you if you get close. And this was in Easy. I don't think you should have to be some super king fighter to be able to beat any kind of mode on easy. So I disagree about the balance up there at the top, and I think something should be done to tone him down a little on easier modes (so you know, I can actually fight him instead of having to repeat the same move over and over).

Just got this game today, me and a friend played a little versus mode then went to the training mode and watched all the basic fatalities

Obviously we both svcked at it, I'm used to playing Tekken, the only fighting game franchise I've actually played a lot (Only Tekken 3 and 6 though, so not even that much really.) so the fighting system takes some getting used to, but with practice I think i can have a ton of fun with this game, it's certainly brutal enough.

Only problem I've had so far is the story mode, I'm at the point where Liu Kang has to fight Scoprion and some sorcerer dude and I am just getting my ass handed to me over and over again.

Also, I'm glad I got the PS3 version...Kratos man, [censored] Kratos.

I did ladder on medium. Shao Khan was a little annoying to fight, but a few games later he got pwned 2-0.

Story mode is dope. So far, at leastest.

Played Waterspider474 (SpEcTrE) today, my Nightwolf smokes his sub-zero. All good though

Bosses are intentionally unbalanced, they are supposed to be. They arent playable though, online is pretty balanced.

Training has helped a little, but I find myself struggling to even complete stages in Story Mode.

Also, Story mode is actually really good, my hopes were not high for this game (i wouldnt have even gotten it if i hadnt won the drawing at the midnight release for it. i was there for portal by the way) but i have to say i am very pleasantly surprised, it is probably one of the best fighting games i have played.

Yeah, but your not too bad, scared me a couple times. You need to work on resource management, You use the XRAY sometimes when your already way ahead, or at the end of a round where you dont take full advantage of its damage. Lastly, we had a couple disconnects. If your playing wireless, try making a wired connection, they tend to hold up a little bettter (though the way it is doesnt bother me if it doesnt bother you.)

Ill be on a little more yet tonight, mom got home and when she gets off work I usually come up for family time. Peace.

BTW I never got to fight your Ermac.
