Once I complete story mode I'll play online. I'm at the end of the game. Bosses are annoying. -_-

I haven't played MK since UMK3, which I am good at. Now all of the combos have been changed. I can do a pretty much neverending combo attack with Scorpion on UMK3. Can't do that anymore.

Once I do, I am going soul collecting....

(We should have a BGSF Tourney for XBL and PSN once there are enough people that play)

I have actually gotten really good at mileena.

also about Ermac, i had trouble getting use to his Specials, they are more complicated then most other characters.

Yeah not too bad Mileena, I kinda slumped in our night matches. Started experimenting with Kabal, Jade, and Kitana.

I won it in a GameStop drawing when I went for Portal 2 and my roommates and I popped it in last night for a bit. Did 2v2 tag and had a lot of fun. My roommate and I started to figure out attacks and combos while our girlfriends button mashed and everyone turned out about the same, so there's something to be said about that.

I really like the feel of it. I can't exactly say why, but it just feels right. I dunno. I'm a huge Dead or Alive fan, so the lack of their counter system bothered me at first, but I got over it. I did have a good chuckle at the instruction manual that came with it. One page? Really? Why even bother?

After a bunch of 2v2, we passed the controller around for story mode, which I am really liking. It actually feels like a story instead of most fighting games where the dude is just walking along and SHABAM! He's gotta fight someone.

We'll see how long I stay interested in this game, though. Not the biggest fan of fighters, but it was free and I'll be holding on to it unless I need to make a quick $40 selling it to someone.

I know the bosses are supposed to be unbalanced, but does it have to be that unbalanced at Easy level? I don't want to have to resort to cheap tactics each time I play, granted I could get better but Shao Khan seemed impossible even if I was better at the game.

My wife picked it up Tuesday night while she was at work. Her, my son and I played it last night.

Man, what a fun game. I haven't played an MK game since MK2 and I've gotta say, its as good as the original. Not to mention the added features and moves makes it awesome.

I tried story mode and since never liking Johnny Cage I completely got my ass kicked. I always liked Scorpion. Hopefully I'll get to play more this weekend.

Apparently this is out in Europe today instead of tomorrow... weird. I understand the case here because it's a holy day in ireland and thus shops closing but eh, still weird. Not complaining though, going to pick up my copy in a bit.

I just bought this today and---it bought a tear to my eye :touched: (sniff)...This game is what Mortal Kombat is all about grizzly faitalitys (some cool some lame) and the controls---oh the controls are perfect---i love it!!! i love so much I feel like singing it http://youtu.be/xneZ1AHqsW8 .

Liu Kang
Shang Tsung (I love his fatality)
Kratos (finally a fighting game worthy of the God of War).

I just got started so it might be awhile before I go online. Still it's a great Kome back.

Does anybody know how to beat Shao Kahn as Liu Kang?

I'm on that part of the story and this guy is just cheap as hell. I liked Kung Lao better, I beat everybody as him with no problem but I had a problem beating Shang Tsung with Liu Kang.

Got any tips?

Right now I'm playing Raiden. My friend skipped the story and went online. I think hes gonna beat my ass when we play.

Does anybody know how to beat Shao Kahn as Liu Kang?

I am but he always throws those spears which sometimes blocks my fireball and also throwing that sledgehammer. He also moves up close constantly and when he does he wrecks my [censored] with that green charge of his.

I also do try to dodge his spears and hammers but sometimes I'm in the middle of throwing a fireball and can't.

The hammer is difficult to dodge.

you can duck under the spear with a low fireball and if you hit him before he gets it off he wont throw the spear (unless hes lit up when he does it). You can also spam fireballs with him, if you diddnt know.

anyway. i was playing online for the first time but all people kept on choosing was Noob Saibot and they just spammed his shadow attacks. it was near impossible to lay a hand on them. <_<

I just got my ass handed to me 6 times in a row by the same player. It was my first time online and I just wanted to beat him. We reached a Round 3 like 3 times. I was playing Kung Lao times, then once as Jade and another time as Jax, he was playing Liu Kang and he was pretty good, at least for me.

Get a character with some kind of teleport, or jump over the spear and hit them with a Rushdown move.
