I had a night time Aurora while playing yesterday that was blue and purple. The moon, the clouds, the stars, with blue and purple streaking in waves across the skies of the beech forests of the Rift. Gorgeous!!

Also in the Rift, I came across Trappers for the very first time. They had a big cage with a live wolf caught in it. I don't know if they are always hostel, or just didn't appreciate me opening the cage to have at the wolf for myself. lol They were on the eastern end, if I remember right.

I let the wolf out and then the hunters attacked me a little ways off. I never put the two together until later.

I didn't know that Lakeview has a hawk's nest up on the tip of its roof - it even has a harvestable hawk's egg in it.

I always dug the hawks flying around, but I didn't know they lived on my house.

If you go to the furtherest North Eastern point on the map, behind an iceburg and marked by a flag post you can find a stash of many gold bars plus a skill book.

In the Falmer village added by Dawnguard, if you kepp climbing you can find hidden caches of flawless diamonds.

I never knew until last night that Alvor is not the only smith trainer. Adrianne trained my recreated Salessi last night. Was pretty cool to learn something new after all all this time.

The old Talos Priestess in Riften will stop worshipping Talos if you side with the Imperials and win the war.

She'll instead remain at her home and never leave.

Sorta sad when you think about it.

Her daughter was killed in the war and she spent all day everyday praying to her god to take vengeance on the Imperials and for the Stormcloaks to win the war.

But the Imperials end up winning and she loses her faith in Talos.

I found it pretty interesting.

Found her... http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Nura_Snow-Shod

I found this out myself when do the extra quest for the Thieves guild.

On the south-eastern slope of the ridge in the middle of Whiterun hold, between Fort Greymoor and Swindlers Den, there is a skeleton laid on the ground beneath a tree, reaching out toward an adept-level locked strongbox. The nearby Sabre-cat undoubtedly had a hand in their misfortune.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but i never saw it in the original post, but you can perform a roll without having the silent roll perk! while in sneak mode with your weapon sheathed; run, then unsheathe your weapon and you will roll !

You can also go stealth, jump and hold forward+sprint buttons/keys to roll on landing.

Additionally while rolling you can start the sprint power attack. If you time it right it looks pretty cool. Jump down from a ledge, land and roll into a leaping attack against an enemy.

Today I rebooted my lvl 60 character in part because I ended up regretting doing the civil war questline for the Imperials (among other things I wish I'd done differently). This time she's not getting involved in the war at all. I've seen both outcomes anyway.

Winning the war for the Imperials also removes Heimskr from Whiterun's Eldergleam Plaza. I began to miss the crazy old coot.

I think it never really registered with me because Galmer has been dead for the majority of my game. (By the way, I love your avvy )

She doesn't lose her faith, she is forbidden from worshiping publicly, and she's pretty pissed off about it. There's dialogue with her about it.

In my game Heimskr still preaches in Whiterun, but I think he's bugged as I've heard he's supposed to be arrested.

I also love that Marcurio does the silent roll in sneak mode as well. And I always wondered about that because he doesn't have the perk. It's only from reading this thread that I found out it's because he draws a weapon.

Do you mean a skill trainer, or do you mean a smith that offers the Smithing tutorial? Because I've noticed that any smith will offer the Smithing tutorial, but only if you haven't done it with another smith beforehand. Except maybe orc smiths--I haven't noticed whether they offered it. But Oengul War-Anvil will, and the smith in Shor's Stone, and I think the smiths in Riften & Dawnstar will as well, in addition to Alvor and Adrienne. (It's been awhile since I played a character that rabidly avoided Smithing, though, so I may be misremembering some.)

Pretty sure the Falmer village he's referring to is the big one in the Forgotten Vale.

I never knew this. I always thought you had to do it in Riverwood. This is a great thread, and I hope the OP adds stuff like this to the sticky.

Never knew there was a beehive in Riverwood. Its on the underside and end of the walkway/wall at the north end of the village, on the side close to the river.

Nope. Until I got Hearthfire, most of my mage characters avoided Smithing like the plague, and I saw that option every time I tried to sell stuff to a smith. In fact, I had to be very careful not to accidentally pick that option in the middle of a conversation!
