[RELZ] Unofficial Oblivion Patch 3.2.0 and 3.2.4 HOTFIXES [R

Post » Tue Dec 28, 2010 2:02 am

Neither. The UOP Supplement page now includes a link to this mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28537

Which is a stand-alone version of MOBS. By including it in your bashed patch as an "imports stats" item, but not activating it, you get the MOBS weapon stats without affecting UOP or FCOM changes.

It also includes optional files for the MOBS gameplay changes.

If you are using FCOM, grab the OMOBS 1_0 download from that page.

That's the one I was talking about. I've already got that version installed, so it looks like I'm good to go. Thanks guys.

And I only have to make one weapons change in mobs/omobs standalone version, they are up to date other than this for 3.2.5 fix

* The DBEnWeapBladeWoe10 enchantment had fortify magicka instead of damage magicka like all of the other versions.

Ooh, real progress on UOP!

So uh... "popular demand" svcks, there should be a standalone boars-and-imps fix. ;)

I was thinking that the grass bug fix that goes by the name of Alive Water Grass Bug Fix 2 should be included as well. Is that faulty middle class table really not fixable?

As far as AWLS, it is possible to include meshes in other mods that AWLS will use, I don't really see it being much of an issue to do that with the pair of buildings the supplemental fixes. If it would help sort out the mess I can update those two for the next release.

Uh, and what exactly is this "grass bug fix"? First I'm hearing of bugs with the grass.

The faulty middle class table... that the one where it clips out of view funny? If so, it would be nice to fix but I have no idea what's wrong with it.

Grass fix is here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25511

Faulty mesh in original game apparently.

The table issue: I looked at that a while back and found that the original mesh that came with the game did not have the disappearing problem, while the one with the UOP did. I'm thinking it might be a pyffi issue. Might be worth re-doing it from the original and seeing if that helps.

It's easy to test because the table is used all over the Testing Hall rooms.

Well, I always have the UOP installed, so that might be the issue. I do not have setup with which I can test, but if someone else would be willing...

Grass fix is super easy. I just copied the stencil property block from the other underwater seaweed mesh and that fixed it.

I'll check and see if the vanilla table getting PyFFI'd again fixed it.

Someone else want to check and see if this works, as far as I can tell it does: http://www.4shared.com/file/BlEirGqa/middletable01.html

It goes in meshes\furniture\middleclass

Sorry for taking so long, but it looks like it works okay.

Went to the testinghall and found the problem table, confirmed the bug.

Removed the UOP version, allowing the vanilla to re-assert itself, bug fixed.

Installed your new file, bug still fixed.

The new one isn't as small as the old UOP version, so clearly there must have been important information removed by Pyffi last time. Thank you for the fix.

We'll have to keep an eye out for other Pyffi artifacts. The creators of Pyffi have been making huge improvements over the last year or so.

Maybe all of the UOP meshes should be PyFFI-optimized again, but fixing the disappearing meshes is good. I will be happy to have that table not disappear on me anymore.

Arthmoor thanks for that table fix once again.

I wasn't the only one who noticed...:)

Edit: I remember being told long ago that it is recommended to keep the Oblivion Book Jackets mods active, instead of deactivating it and just using the graphics import, because it includes position corrections for a number of books, that I assume escaped the UOP. Does this still stand? That seems like a quick comparison to perform with TES4Edit and a filter with conflicts inherited by maste.

Yes, it still stands. Vanilla books using vanilla jackets aren't out of position so there's no bug for the UOP to fix.

To expand on what Arthmoor said: Book Jackets only repositions some books because the new Book Jacket's covers include text on the covers and spines. With that text there, its obvious that some books are upside down relative to the player. Vanilla books have no text so being upside down is meaningless to them. No point in making a useless correction that risks introducing new problems.

I was just wondering. You guys made it very clear. Thank you. I will leave it active then, but I was more concerned about whether or not I should ask users to activate it in their load order when I see it deactivated. If they are bothered by the upside down text, I will be sure to comment on it. :P

I only import the graphics from the Book Jackets mod myself, and honestly I haven't really seen that many upside down books in the game. Those that are don't bother me enough to care. Even in the real world you'll find books on the shelves at libraries that got put back upside down. So for me it actually adds a slight touch of realism on those occasions where I do find out of place books.

That is a very convincing reason for me to save myself another plugin slot. Thanks, Arthmoor. :D

Submitted for inclusion: UOP Imps & Boars :D

Magic resistance and water walking on imps.
Magic resistance on boars.
Possibility of chanthrax blight removed from the arena boar.

Since this was an added-then-removed UOP fix, I figure it belongs to you. If you'd rather I release it on my own, I can do that too.

Edit: Temporary link stricken, will be released independently!

If you want to release that as a separate mod, you're more than welcome to. It's not going into the UOP though after the storm it caused the last time.

Are there any installable versions of OBMM on that site? It says that it only has source code and all the downloads linked have "src" in their name.

How does one get a working version of 1.1.8?
