Anyone consider it a slight bug that once you've finished "Raid on Greyland" that the marauder spawn in there never goes away?

Keeps respawning or permanent corpse?

Permanent corpse may be some sort of protection for failing to grab the ring, so could easily be fixed. Keeps respawning would make a bit of sense.....as much sense as that whole stupid quest makes anyway.

Not talking about Kylius Lonavo. Talking about the random marauder spawn that's in there with him. Kylius does not respawn later, and will disappear correctly. However the spawn point never goes away unless you keep visiting the property before the respawn timer is up.

I vote for leaving it as is. It seems reasonable that an unsavoury type would move into an otherwise uninhabited house in the wilds.

Yeah, I'd say leave the respawning. It's an empty house "in the wilds" (two hundred feet from the town entrance) and is vulnerable to takeover.

I should have done that quest and then used "Claim That Interior" and saved myself from buying the house down there.

I just started a new game with the last UOP 3.2.6 hotfix;
Playing with a CSR companion I remarked that Double Face bug doesn't exist in The Shivering Isles Expansion when fast traveling!
Is there a way to implement this feature to Oblivion in a internal way without using manual lesser spell?

If we knew why it wasn't bugging there, sure, but it may not be something we can use. I don't really know why it would behave any differently in SI since it's the same game executable for both.

Two more people in my travel services thread have reported it fixed their Kvatch crash problems. I'd really like to have wider confirmation of its value. I'd also like to have more of a consensus on whether it should go into the next update or not. His AI packs aren't exactly critical to start with so I don't really see the problem.

Arthmoor, don't get too upset about me bringing this up AGAIN, looking for some ideas about why the Hotfix 326 and Hotfix 326 CTD for me at the same spot (intersection of the the road to Kvatch) every time, even with no mods installed. I have to say that I am 99% sure it is computer specific. So my question to you is, is it possible that the video driver could be causing this? I have an ATI 4870 with the latest driver. Thinking perhaps if I find an old driver I can try that. Have you ever seen a similar situation where the video driver was the culprit? I have no AV installed. I use gamebooster to stop the extra services. I have win7 pro 64 bit. Anything in your experience with this OS could cause this?

Since it happens in the same spot every time, is there anything in the hotfix esp that happens when you go through the Kvatch road intersection toward Anvil that does NOT happen in the 320 patch esp? I did try the Maiq patch also but that did not help.

So far this is only affecting me and one other post I seen on tesnexus, so it is definetly user PC related.

Other than the video driver, any other suggestions as to what I can try? Perhaps starting a separate thread? ANy possibility of anyone having the earlier hotfixes that I can try, to see when the problem starts for me? I just hate having an unexplained problem.

Personally, I go by "better safe than sorry" when it comes to fixes. I'd rather have the fix in place to stop potential problems than have to go track it down and install it if I start having problems later. I say include it.

I can confirm this double face bug doesn't happen when fast travelling in SI. Maybe modders that worked in previous UOP haven't understood the bottom mechanisms that trigger this bug (not necessarily related to the main executable). It's just an idea I'm throwing in this thread, maybe someone can develop.
Thanks for all this work in UOP hotfixes; I'm using the last v3.2.6 (even started a new game with it) and it's working fine. Just remarked that all merchants in Cyrodiil are no more persuadable with the whele mini game (but can be bribed); I don't know if this change was introduced by the last UOP hotfixes or Enhanced Economy that I'm using.

I've noticed that I can't persuade merchants anymore either. I'm using 3.2.5 though. I also have EE loaded. I pretty sure I'm able to persuade them when I meet them the first time, but can't again after that, even if my stats improve. Sorry, I can't quite remember all the dynamics, because there was a definite change there and I'm too far along in my current game now to test (I've spoken to everyone now). I still don't have a very good rating with some of them and wish I could persuade them again though. When I played the game previously (quite a while ago), I was definitely able to re-persuade everybody. I was running 3.2.0 and Living Economy at the time.

Enhanced Economy and Living Economy are very different. Try testing without EE. It would be odd for the UOP to cause this issue...

Yeah I suspect the cuprit is EE as well, unfortunately... I'll look into what it would take to temporarily remove it and test.

I always have trouble persuading merchants again because trading with them increases their disposition to you, and that always increased way faster than my speechcraft/personality. So the merchant was always at the Max disposition.

At least I think that was what was happening. Most of my favourite merchants get up to 100 Disposition pretty quickly.

Yeah, well that's partly why I'm surprised my levels aren't at 100 already. With some of them, they are, but some others are still hovering in the 70's. I just poured over the EE readme and ini and it's hard to tell what's going on. There are certainly settings for auto-haggle, which I have disabled, but nothing about persuasion. It'd be awkward for me to disable EE at this point. I have just installed 3.2.6 (UOP) and I will continue to monitor, but thorough testing will probably have to wait for a while.

This sounds like one of EE's features working just like intended :)

If you have Immersive Haggle enabled (not to confuse with Auto Haggle), a merchant will get irritated if you haggle too much. After a number of haggle attempts within a short timespan, the merchant will do one of two things, depending on your settings: Either completely refuse more Haggle attempts for a while, or get reduce his disposition towards you AND completely reject any persuation attempts for a while. If this is what affects you, any click on the persuation menu will just give you a message about not being able to persuade the merchant. Come back 3 days later (default, but can be adjusted), and the merchant is open for persuation and haggle again.

Their disposition does drop if they refuse an offer, as it should. Probably wrong thread to be discussing this, we're just trying to determine where the problem lies and we weren't sure if UOP had something in it or not.

I like this feature however: it's natural that a "good" merchant shouldn't be persuadable by any mean other than comercial transactions; I even thought even if you can tweak more merchant bribe to be not too much exploitable.

If it's at exactly the same spot that's likely an indication of a corrupted spawner. Unfortunately if that corrupted spawner is a vanilla spawner, there isn't much you can do about that other than try the usual waiting in the testing cell for 3 days procedure to see if it clears up. The intersection you're talking about sits on the corner of 4 cells, so it's certainly possible. There's several spawners in the area.

The behavior of the crash the Maiq hack addresses doesn't fit what you're describing either since that one tends to happen further to the east. It's never happened at the road intersection.

I'd find it highly unusual for the video driver to be an issue with something this specific. Nor would I expect Win7 to be responsible.

I don't really know where else to go with it at this point. The issue is far too specific for a hardware or OS issue, and the Maiq hack has been solidly demonstrated to fix the major issue in that area.

Thanks for not yelling. I am grasping at straws right now. Downloaded some older video drivers, never know, however unlikely. Strange that it happens with vanilla. Maybe I get lucky. ANy posibility of the older hotfixes being posted?

Ok, this behaviour is completely normal behaviour. Unless your speechcraft is very high, somewhere around 60-70 is the max you can increase it to by persuation (and EE certainly doesn't affect this in any way).

You would think, but maybe I misspoke. It does not happen with UOP 320 but happens with hotfix 325 and 326 so it has to be an interaction of those files with my hardware. Older versions would tell me when it started. But anyway, I am going to try older video drivers. Nothing to lose.

NiceOne: thanks - it might be a speechcraft skill issue. I haven't played in quite a while and the only thing I remember from previous was being very good at persuasion. It's entirely possible that my skills were better than they are now. It certainly looks like this isn't anything UOP touches though, so if I find anything else, I'll post it in the EE thread...
