It does, and that change has been in now for ages and is not going to be reverted at this point.


That's unfortunate since this very arbitrary change sticks out like a sore thumb. There is no indication what so ever that Bethesda wanted to provide a complete set of armor for the character from start, and that's what was always the rule of thumb when it's been decided what's an unofficial FIX and what's a MOD back when Kivan and Quarn started this project. There is no reason for the change to be included and how long it's been included is besides the point: I argumented against the change when it was first added and the reason people don't protest anymore is most likelly because no one else still remembers the change.

What excactly is the change? Looking in TES4EDIT I can't find anything in the first five cells of the tutorial.

Even if there is an undesired change, Sialivi, that you do not like I can only list two solutions.

--Don't use the UOP and miss out on an abundance of positive changes, or
--Open the Construction Set and edit the tutorial dungeon to remove the armor.

These complete armor sets that are being complained about ... are you talking about the Rough Leather and Rusty Iron armor sets that are only found in the starter dungeon and no where else? Cause those are like the weakest armor sets in the game, and only the Rough Leather Greaves and Rusty Iron Boots were missing. Hardly gamebreaking or worth complaining about, if those are indeed the armor pieces the UOP adds. Honestly, it always did bug me that those two unique armor sets were each missing one random part.

Jupiah, yes, that's exactly what was done - completion of the Rough Lether and Rusty Iron sets with the missing pieces. Two, maybe 3 bits if I remember right, and indeed you'll have much better within 5 minutes of leaving the sewer anyway. You won't ever know about it at all if you use an alt-start mod. It was debated back and forth quite vigorously and even drew the attention of the moderators at the time. In the end it was determined to be too trivial to worry about and was left alone. So if you're patient enough in the tutorial dungeon to find it, you can leave with a full set of both.

On the subject of the arrow fix, I was able to salvage the portion of the one Spiney linked up to get the UV mapping fix from it and have tested repeatedly with that applied to the UOP's fix. Never saw the arrow separate and fly around, never had it sink into the ground. Tested both outdoors and inside some IC locations. If it falls through somewhere else, it could be a collision defect at that location.

So unless there's anything else, when I get done consuming this nice hot bowl of soup, I'm packing things up for the 3.3.2 release.

It's funny about the armour thing. I knew the UOP had added some pieces, but I've never found them all so I didn't worry about it :)

Can I jump all over you for packaging in a BAIN-friendly format? I still haven't switched to BAIN... Although I did try to package the Oblivion XP update in a BAIN friendlier format...

Anyway if you could possibly include the OMOD conversion data, I think there would a number of us who would be very grateful :hugs:

The change is in creature CGThiefSkeletonDead and container CGChestTorch01, in the first there were added rough leather gauntlets, greaves and helmet, and in the second rusty iron gauntlets. CG is for CharGen, they are found in the starter dungeon (duh). I'm the one who convinced Arthmoor to add them, I guess I can be a very charming guy... those items are nowhere else in the game, and get old just after leaving the sewers and killing some bandits, though rough leather is about as good as fur, but fur is lighter.
Yes, I later admitted it was more of a tweak than a real fix, but after some versions with it shipped in the UOP I no longer care too much. Besides, it compliments http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7190 so that you can see all the rusty gear's "rusty" look.

Well, as long at the armour pieces make it possible to get a full suit of that particular armour I think it's a great idea (all my characters like to collect armours and put them on mannequins).

There were a few extra endifs. I'd appreciate someone else taking a quick scan of this, if possible. I'm pretty new to OBMM scripting. I ran this through the script compiler and it's happy now.

Edit: Hold on. I don't think that will work. I think you need CopyPlugin because you need to change the directory. Give me a minute to grab a script from a mod that was packaged for BAIN and I'll confirm.

No I don't think that will work because the plugins are in the BAIN directories, but you want to install them to the data directory. Everything is done relative to the data directory with OBMM. So you have to use CopyPlugin to change the directory. Now I'm not sure if you can specify a LoadAfter if you use CopyPlugin - perhaps someone can confirm?

Try this. You'll have to add the UOP again though :)

Not quite. CopyDataFile is to copy data files like BSA's, text files or pdf's. You could also use it for a texture or mesh if you only had one or two. You need to use CopyPlugin for the plugins. It's also a copy command - you need a source and destination. In this case the "destination" is just the name of the file. Have a look at my script and copy the CopyPlugin lines - I think you'll be fine after that. Your copy data folders look fine to me.

Blah. Now you can see why I really hate dealing with these scripts. So much simpler to just have checkboxes in BAIN and be done with it.

Yeah, me too. If you want to test this when you're done, post it somewhere and I'll try loading it up. You'll need the whole package and I'll try to install it. The little script compiler in OBMM doesn't detect much...
