Huh. Then I may or may not have a problem with my install. I made sure to put this new package in the same load spot as the old one, uninstalled the UOMP's and the old UOPS, then installed this one. Looking at the Bash Installers tab and it's showing orange. Is that good, bad, normal? I realize there's always going to be conflicts with other things like the original UOP, QTP3, RAEVWD, etc.

Orange means something is mismatched. Probably with one of the other mods. Check the conflicts tab and it should tell you. I would assume it's intentional as QTP3 should overwrite lots of stuff. You are using the QTP3+UOP patch, yes?

HAH! Yes, that is wrong. After all this time and nobody caught it until now? Must not be a lot of good guy characters out there :)

That said, it isn't really worth going through the process of updating the package for this one error.

I think I found another land tear near Nornal. I approached from the north and found this:

I've come across a rather interesting post lately. Apparently the UOP breaks the fall damage calculations, at least, according to http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38214

Now, I'm not saying anything about the mod, as she is completely in her right to alter a single GMST setting, but to claim that the UOP is responsible for breaking this is, frankly, a bit of a stretch, especially when no compelling argument is presented. Because the fall damage is certainly unbroken in my game (I just need to fall a bit farther than before).

I noticed something slightly odd. I'm running OOO, though I don't think that is affecting this. Enilroth at Morvan's Peacemakers in Anvil seems to equip items sold to him, unlike other merchants. According to the UESP he doesn't normally offer services without the UOP (I can't seem to find any reference to him in the changelog though). I looked at him in the CS with the UOP as the active file and he doesn't appear to possess a merchant chest like other merchants. Strangly he somehow doesn't get encumbered, despite my having sold a ton of stuff to him.* (not really an issue, just odd) . Is this intended, as it's my understanding the the merchant chest is what keeps items from going into the NPC's inventory?

*Note: Not really sure how this happens as IIRC he doesn't respawn, unless at some point the game removes items in his inventory that aren't initially placed there in the CS unless they're currently equipped. Anyone know anything about this?

I can't recall having seen merchants who equip things you sell them but there's nothing out of the ordinary about the behavior. NPCs tend to equip the best of whatever they have, and without a chest he'll pocket stuff in his inventory instead.

The UOP doesn't edit him, but it does change his wander pack inside the store to allow him to become a working merchant.

Enilroth does equip stuff you sell to him. It's probably because when the UOP fixed his wander pack, it didn't give him a merchant chest. He does look rather odd wearing the odd bits and pieces I sell to him :rofl: I don't know if it would be within the scope of the UOP to provide him a merchant chest though... It's nothing to do with any other mods - he will do this if the only thing you have installed is the UOP. Of course, without the UOP, you can't sell him stuff.

It's worth fixing on some level but it's really not terribly important. I'll give him a chest but there's not a whole lot of chance that anyone will see the update in the wild for quite some time.

I had someone from the UESP site mention a mountain of new fixes, but that's been about 3 months now and they're not responding to PMs so I have no idea what the extent of them was other than a few examples of minor AI pack issues. I'm inclined to think that if we've gone 5 years without noticing it's probably too trivial to matter.

Agreed. Just wanted to confirm that Enilroth does wear stuff you sell to him. Nope, missed the tear report. I'll check, but these things are difficult to confirm even once you're in the game. The only one I've ever seen on a regular basis is the one between Leyawiin and Bravil.

EDIT: I don't see anything in those cells that would contribute. If mods can cause this sort of thing then all bets are off on being able to fix it.

I've a problem in the Black Flag (from the Thieves Den DLC), I've entered the second level of the Black Flag and there are no doors or ladders to leave it again. I've found this thread on the nexus http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/315285-stuck-in-the-black-flag/ it says that the "Unofficial Oblivion Patch Hotfix" merges the "DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch - SSSB.esp" into it, and so the separate SSSB.esp file has to be disabled. I've tried this and the ladders and trap doors are back. Is that the correct way to solve this problem or did I miss something?

Yes, that's the correct resolution. The separate SSSB patch was built during a time when there wasn't as great an understanding of things as there is now, so it was no longer necessary to maintain it as a special add-on.

Yes, that's the correct resolution. The separate SSSB patch was built during a time when there wasn't as great an understanding of things as there is now, so it was no longer necessary to maintain it as a special add-on.

I've disabled the separate SSSB patch, however I've left it in the folder and I just discovered that in the bashed patch under Import Cells it's still checked. I suppose I should uncheck that too and perhaps delete the file from the OMOD?

The boss warning is:
"Note: Not need for 'DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.esp' v1.0.7+"
so I supposed that while it's not needed, it wouldn't cause problems. Since OBMM doesn't allow you to delete the file since it's part of an OMOD, the easy solution was to leave it there deactivated. I had forgotten about the fact that the wrye bash also can import data from deactivated plugins.

Perhaps the warning should be:
"Delete this file! Causes problems and is no longer needed with 'DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.esp' v1.0.7+"
(I've learned the hard way that instructions have to be clear and should not leave any room for interpretation at all.)

Is there a reason why the SSSB file should not be removed from the Unofficial Official Mods Patch Omod?

I'm Still haveing problems with Aleron Loche(Caught In The Hunt), even with UOPS 335, he won't attack Kurdon,(doesn't even have a sword) and I get stuck in the doorway. @Brozly: I officially hate that quest now. Sadly, there is nothing more I can do with it if it refuses to behave itself. I can't find any reason for it to still be broken.

@speekyg869: The two badmagic fixes and the Fathis fix are covered. That niben river fix exceeds the scope of a bug fix though and is not part of the UOP and won't be made so either.

I'm doing Random Oblivion World 3 which has this broken bridge with a dead horse on it and as so often the body trashes around. I haven't thought about it much as I assumed it was glitching but when I think about it, it happens too often just to be glitching. It is immersion breaking but not a big deal at the same time as its one of those areas you rush through in a couple of minutes or so. Guess I'm mainly wondering what causes it - and can it be fixed?
