I did, but my old PC was a pile of crap, so; much was minimized in order to get at least some quality out of it. Now (as of two days ago) I have a shiny new machine. And you are right; the difference is significant, even with nothing but the original game installed!

Right; now to add the mods!

AF is definitely one of those badly underappreciated features that's hardly an issue with performance.

Question. I just installed the unofficial oblivion patch, unofficial shivering isles patch, and the supplementals. Now I don't have an icon for my elven arrows or my enchanted items. Oddly enough, the icons are still gone even if I deselect the .esp files. Any idea why this would be happening?

Sorry... never heard of anything like this. :)

OK, finally updated the list; I haven't been updating this thread often but never stopped working. I am getting very close to being done this. Started with ~20 pages of To Do and I'm down to one. If I keep at it this week I may have a public Beta ready by this weekend; then I can start importing all the Supplemental changes into the changelog.

But for now, it's bedtime!

Arthmoor -- Though from what I've seen, the biggest diffeence in quality is from none to 2x; after that there's not much improvement.

Just a few dialogue filtering errors and small oddities:

-Uurwen's NQDCheydinhal greeting is checking if she's in Mach-Na's Books instead of the Mages Guild, so it's never said.
-Kalthar has two entries under the MagesGuildTopic in MG00General, but only one ever shows up -- he has some commentary on necromancy that should check if the player is in the faction, but instead checks that the player isn't in the faction, despite having a completely different response under it that's never used about joining the guild.
-Jhared Strongblade should have some dialogue about Farwil before MS13, but the MSMiscToTT topic is never added; also in MSMisc, Fathis Ules has a recorded piece of dialogue under "greeting" in which he tells the player to move out of his way. From the looks of things, that at one point would have been his default greeting if you weren't in the Thieves Guild, but what I think it could still be used for is for the two days that he spends moping around Chorrol before MS16B begins.
-If the player completes MG03Illusion before MS05, Kud-Ei loses her essential flag, but the reverse isn't true. Also for MS05 -- there's a nearly-complete option unavailable; you were supposed to have been able to kill Henantier in his sleep, which would make Kud-Ei attack you, but Henantier is essential. Strangely, this doesn't have any effect on the Mages Guild recommendation -- if you yield to Kud-Ei or knock her unconscious, she'll allow you to speak to her about joining and allow you to complete the quest. Once the recommendation quest is over, she'll attempt to kill you again; if you attempt to fight back, you can only knock her unconscious, after which she'll leave you alone, though you can no longer speak to her.
-When Kud-Ei and Valus Odil were given the training options they needed, they weren't given any packages to offer services (Kud-Ei has TrainerDefaultWander, but never has a chance to use it).
-Not really an error as much as it is hilarious, but siding with Roland during MS23 and subsquently killing him will allow you to finish the quest for Seridur -- he'll leave Memorial Cave and return to the city, resuming his daily schedule, though wearing armor, and will give you the reward for killing Roland.

Nice to see that work is nearly done.

I'm not so sure of that. I saw massive improvement between 8x and 16x. Maybe I'm just picky, like audiophiles are with subtle differences in sound, but I can see the differences in every grade of AF.

Perhaps; to be honest, I'm such a stickler for performance that I only have it at 4x, but there was still a massive improvement from none to 2x. I'll try out 16x.

I can only go by what I've ever seen, and even with old crappy cards I could turn on AF at full scale and it never impacted performance in the slightest.

If it's true that AF really does not impact performance too much then I guess I should just turn it up from 4x to 16x and see if there's a difference.

AI pack AngalmoVisitCastleChanel9x2 needs to be modified to only work once quest MS51 is done. Otherwise Angalmo becomes stuck inside the castle.

"ChorrolPatrol01DayGreatOak" should be a travel package, not a wander.

"AnvilFountain15x3" needs a radius of 420 to match it's counterpart "AnvilFountain12x6".

Could you drop the priority of MS05 back to 50? It's annoying to have Kud-Ei complain about Henantier instead of commenting on your progress in MG03Illusion; I've never understood the complaints that you can screw up both quests. Unless you're intentionally trying to, the conditions on the MG03Illusion and MG00Join dialogues look fine to me.

That was basically for those who already had the UOP so they wouldn't need to download the whole 3.2.0 archive again.

Since you brought that up though I would very much like to see only one version posted so this sort of confusion doesn't continue going forward. Installer + Manual, with no extra hotfix files floating around.

I just got a Radeon 6570, and I was playing around with the settings (I happened to pop in here last week, and I saw the discussion about AF). There's a huge difference between 2-4X, as noted, and a pretty significant' one from 4x-8x; from 8x to 16x, it's very small - you really have to look, and it's only at the farthest reaches, but it is noticeable.

Hmph. Stupid forums won't let me edit my post.

Anyway, there are two minor things that have been bugging me, but I'm not sure if they're worth fixing: Contumeliorus Florius and Varnado both mispronounce their names in the spoken dialogue (i.e., their written names are mispelled) - Florius says "I'm Contumelorius Florius", and Varnado introduces himself as "Varnardo" (and everyone else calls him that too, in the rumors).

Found another one: in MS 25, stages 20, 25, 40, and 45, the journal entries refer to "Timberscar Cave" intead of "Timberscar Hollow".

Those Alchemy enchantment-bonus fixes should probably be in a separate .esp, as JRoush plans to (or already has?) fix the underlying code with an OBSE plugin, which will cause your fix to actually double-apply the bonuses.

Thanks... fixed and placed. Not that copying/renaming a file was that difficult. ;)

Noted and thank you. :)

If the fix is successful I hope I can incorporate it into the UOP and then I'll have an OBSE and non-OBSE as indicated. This would be the second plugin too. If it comes with source I could probably combine them as I imagine it will be a single-byte change to a bad index or similar.

Thanks for pointing this out!
