Did anyone else notice how the New look of the Orc's is exactly like that Oblivion mod?

I love you Bethesda.

I was a huge fan of Orcs in Morrowind, was let down by the kindliness and smoothness of them in Oblivion, but now we all know what they look like I'm sure they are going to be the greenest, meanest race once again!

I know which one you're talking about and it does look very similiar. I'm so glad they gave them different noses and red eyes as well as darker skin. The teeth are also more crooked and sinister looking. Not to mention the realistic muscular features visible in their faces. Bah, I could go on all day. :tes:

I just wonder whether that scar was inflicted by combat or you can add them in Char Creation?

I like the new look and I may eventually play as one. The only reason I haven't really focused on playing one is Arkay. He shorten their lives and do I really want to play a character who's max age will be around 60.

@ the OP they may have gotten ideas from those mods and if that's the case that's a good thing to an point.

I'm gonna stick with Dark Elves, assuming they look as awesome as they did in Morrowind. Or an Imperial, Nord or Breton :)

The Orc looks really really good: http://images.wikia.com/skyrim/images/b/b1/The-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-pc-1303119651-032.jpg

Face detail is incredible. Skin looks mega-hi-res. Love the eyes and the face paint and the teeth. The hair is OK, a bit weird, but still OK. Hair is really hard to do anyway, and I think it looks decent considering how hard hair is.

I'm happy with Orcs looking great. I'll enjoy looking at Orcs, but it's not my style and I will therefore never play as an Orc.

I'll definitely be rolling one. You can also see in the pic that one of the tusks are chipped, I wonder if that's a customization feature. Curious about hairstyles as well, I'm guessing we'll see lots of braids and dreadlocks. Would be nice to also have some rugged, full natural hair to choose from. I wonder what the female orcs look like too.

The new Orc makes me definitely want to play them. I'm usually a very Humanfavoring player in the Elder Scrolls games, but the unique, Sympathetic backstory to TES's Orcs, combined with this new look, may just convert me. I voted no for now though.

So far, all the character models look excellent from an an artistic and quality standpoint though. Not Bleeding-edge quality of course, but way more than is necessary to suspend disbelief.

I too adore Dunmer, so as soon as we see the epicness of them I will make an Official Dunmer thread!

Is that face paint? Thought it was a scar :P

I tend to use all the races, but I might make the Orcs one of my focus races.

I'm still confused as to how they speak properly without being able to close their mouths. Or connect upper teeth to lower to make "s" sound.

They do look better, though.

Not my style, but the orcs do look a lot more beasty and Nords were never my style on OB either but I dabbled in playing as a Nord. So yeah depending on what racial perks/disadvantaged orcs have on Skyrim I just might try playing as one.

But chances are I'll stick faithful to my Dark Elves and Bretons. =P

Can't wait to see a new version of something like this... http://membres.multimania.fr/xboxgazette/morrowind_01_800.jpg

I think it's a face paint. Maybe a scar but I think more a face paint. Doesn't really matter though, it looks nice whatever it is :)

I'll try one, but they are FAR from my favorite race. Hell, Dunmer are above them, and I really hate me some Dunmer. Also, as an FYI, your topic title will be changed. Any topic titled an "Official" thread not by a BS employee or a mod get's changed.

I hate polls that don't have an "I don't know yet" or "maybe" option. Seriously, add one.

I do hope they bring back the Voice actor from morrowind!

Anyway, back on topic, I want my Orcs to sound like Morrowind's Dunmer on Steroids, I don't my Fuglys to sound like princesses.

My first character in oblivion was an orc. I wanted to play as one becuase it was freakin' ugly ;D This orc look amazing! The wrinkles, the face paint, the colour, even a blind eye and a broken tusk! That one is a real brute. I can't really decide if I'm going to play as Nord or Orc first. I think Nord but then Orc. Orc with double axes.

Is that stubble on the Skyrim Orc? If I can play an Orc with a beard... winning.

I have no real affinity with Orcs, and my first Skyrim character will be a High Elf, but the new Orcs, made by the dev vsions, are so awesome that I've made the released pic my desktop background. The foliage in that pic is also remarkable- the leaves on the log to the right-hand side of the picture, with the sun glistening off of some leaves whilst others are in shadow, is just incredibly detailed.
