Unofficial Patch .esp file header is marked .esm

Post » Thu Dec 03, 2015 8:41 pm

Hello, I am getting this WARNING: This plugin has the file extension .esp, but its file header is marked it as an .esm! This problem has causing a large number of problems including getting my Reproccer working. I have used LOOT to try and sort it out but with no success. I would very much like this problem sorted out as soon as possible so I can carry on with the Reproccer. I will try TES5EDIT to see if that will help.

PLEASE REPLY.

USLEEP being an ESMified ESP is not the cause of your reproccer problem. USLEEP is deliberately set up to be an ESMified ESP, do not change that. Using old SkyProc patchers that have the incorrect expected ONAM header index integer bit depth is the problem. Update all your reproccers. If the latest version predates august-septemberish of this year... remove that mod, it's obsolete.

In all likelihood, it is not USLEEP that is the problem.

I am not using USLEEP because the mods I am using need USKP instead. I will also like to add that is is happening with all the unofficial patches. Would you agree that it might be an idea to see if the steam versions will be different?

There are means to update USKP-dependent mods using TES5Edit, detailed in the Skyrim Nexus USLEEP page's comment stickyposts. USKP support is no longer offered from the Unofficial Patch Project team due to obsolescence, and USLEEP is recommended for all who have all three official paid DLCs.

And it's happening because old versions of SkyProc are broken. USKP on the Workshop is either even more obsolete than the latest version at the time of obsolescence (v2.1.3) or is also an ESMified ESP as it has been ever since 2.0.

The problem is not with USLEEP.

I am using the newest version of SkyProc. I will check the Skyrim nexus USLEEP page to see if there is a solution there. If there is not I will let you know.

I have used USLEEP Swap Masters Script, as suggested on the USLEEP page, hopefully this might fix it. If not I will let you know.

I have tried SkyProc again but it says: WAFR ReProccer Patch has some missing masters: Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp. Please active and try again. In Nexus Mod Manager it says that USLEEP is an .esp file with a file header as .esm. What do you suggest I do?

i have also made it so I can use USLEEP instead of the separate patches.

That's the telltale sign of a bad patcher that hasn't been updated to correct for SkyProc's ONAM integer bug.

And as I said earlier, USLEEP is meant to be an ESMified ESP. Ignore that warning.

Do you think getting in contact with the author of the patcher would be a good idea? Or do you know of any solutions to SkyProc's ONAM interger bug?

The patcher will need to be updated. That the author hasn't updated already indicates that it's an abandoned mod and is now an obsolete mod. You may want to seek alternatives to that mod.

Do have any recommendations?

If this problem is not going to solved soon I might get separate mods which do similar things to skyre. For example Ordinator, dual comabt realism, etc.....

Also, thanks for the help you have given me so far. i understand modding a far lot better now.
