Erm, I'm pretty sure he meant cute like a kitty, not cute like a girl...

And for the record I think Frosslass is horrifying, Gardevoir is creepy and Latias is, according to the movie, essentially a child, so...

I was talking about pokemon to one of my friends and I mentioned cute pokemon, and then linked to a pic of Teddiursa, who I personally find to be the cutest pokemon in the game...

Which pokemon do you guys think is the cutest?

Either Chikorita or Eevee.

Before this falls a few pages into CD, how about the ugliest? And for fun the most annoying, whether in appearance or just battle-style/moves/ability

I think Masquerain is pretty ugly, but it was beaten out by Floatzel when I started playing Pearl.

As for most annoying, anything with "Shed Skin" I HATE THAT ABILITY. I like to use a pokemon with sing for the bug catching contest but they can get away from my feeble attempt to catch it. That or Raichu... might get hate for this, but I only semi-like Pikachu in the first place, but Raichu just looks dumb... annnnd I don't really like electric type merely for the fact almost every move can paralyze your pokemon... like they need it anyways, since electric type tend to be the fastest type...

Bidoof and Pachirisu are the ugliest.

Froslass is pretty ugly, especially the in-game sprites. I didn't even know what it was supposed to be until I saw the art for it, and it's still ugly.

Rhyperior is a close second. Just awful.

I desperately hope the starters are different types this time, but the silhouettes seem to suggest that they'll be the same types as usual. The Pokemon with the pig-like tail seems like it could be a normal type, but I doubt it will be. I'm just getting tired of the same old fire/water/grass starters, after the first and second generation they just started becoming uninspired. Mudkip is the third generation's only saving grace, but I didn't like his evolutions at all.

I think they look horrible, and only the donkey one looks like an actual Pokemon. But that's okay, because they're fake, right? Well, http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.193916-These-Are-Your-New-Pokemon-Black-White-Starters?page=1

I personally think the first one is the fire starter, the second one is the grass starter, and the third one is the water starter (reminds me of a http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Quagsire). I didn't even think of any other ordering being possible (personally I prefer my order because that fake water pokemon is fugly)

They do it for balancing reasons, There aren't many rock-paper-scissors types to choose from. (plus I love getting a water-starter)

http://pokebeach.com/

Why Serebii.net never posts full size images is beyond me. At least Poke Beach has it.

So we have a grass... thing, a fire pig and a water... panda/Maneki Neko? They look pretty bad to me, but I guess I'll have to wait to see the evolutions. Also, if I choose the fire pig, I'm totally naming it Baconator or some other pork-related pun. And as a fire pokemon, it can cook itself! Mmmmm...

Okay, from reading the Serebii.net forums people seem to think that the water starter looks like an otter, which definitely makes more sense than what I thought it was. I still think it's ugly as sin though. If they changed it's eyes to puppy-dog eyes it would have been much better imo.

Of course it's an otter. The clam on it's belly gives it away.

Honestly the evo's of the starters is what matters,I'm curious what they plan to make out of those.

I like the new trainer designs. The best since generation 2 imo.

I like the grass starter too. Any of the evolutions could end up being cool looking too though.

Yeah, each time I saw the latest girl I really wanted to punch my computer. These look good.

I actually like the pig thing... But once again... the grass Pokemon looks rather awful (only Bulbasaur has been good).

However, I think the potential for cool evos is high. I think the otter has the most potential.
