I found my old game cartridge to other day, I was near the end in victory road so i left and went to capture Rayquaza which I did after a few attempts, I knocked him out once with Ice beam and had to reload so I could catch him <_<

I lost three times in a row there, and quit because my battery was dying. I'm up to 2000 coins in less than 30 minutes though. Going to get the last 100 and a dratini now, I think.

I really really hope these starters don't evolve into things uglier than they already are. But looking at Venusaur, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Blaziken, Sceptile, Swampert, Torterra, and Empoleon it's not going to end well. But really, as long as it doesn't look like it's going to eat my baby like Swampert or like a dried up grandma like Blaziken (or in the case of shiny Blaziken, a dried up sunburned grandma), I won't have to switch it out of my party when it evolves.

New pokemon have been shown! Have a look on serebii to see what they are!http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml. And from what it looks like, these are going to be the replacement of Rattata and Pidgey. At least they are better than Bidoof but yet again, anything is better than Bidoof.

Also, here's an odd fact from bulbapedia: The new professor in the Isshu region is the only female professor so far and is the only one shown in the games to have a pokemon (not counting the cartoons where Professor Oak as a kid has a Charmeleon in one of the films if I remember correctly), which is the pokemon currently known as a Chiramii (the mouse thing).
