Keep spikes infinite to give people reason to consider them over SR if they can only have one,that would change the lead always being dedicated to putting down and/or preventing SR and make a lot more early game options viable.
This would make room for a lot of would-be stall breakers that are currently crippled by the inevitable SR and it would mean the suicide SR users that are currently so heavily used would be less viable.
Yep, SR needs to be heavily nerfed although I must admit that I use SR in a suicidal and inneffective way (my brother has pokemon that are resistant to rock while he is (trying to) pound away at the Skarmory using it (has accuracy-lowering and evading moves)). When I can, I am planning to replace it with spikes/toxic spikes to cause further pain (two layers of Toxic Spikes and the opponent will be badly poisoned, 3 layers of Spikes will remove 25% of the opponent's health).
