Sup people, we are going to start a BGSF pokemon tournament! If you are interested, just say so, and I will put your name down.
We will start to set it up once we get enough people, so there is no set time as of yet.

Tell me how you like these rules...these are just suggestions, I wouldn't mind changing a few if they are unpopular.

No Hacks
No Duplicate Pokemon
D/Cing(disconnecting) is automatic disqualification.
All battles are level 50 wifi.
These Pokemon are banned: Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys(all forms), Dialga, Giratina(both forms), Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Manaphy, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Shaymin(both forms), Wobbuffet, Wynaut.

Isshu is the region for Black and white. I just got a copy of soulsilver and I'm trying to think of my Team, so far it's Totodile and I want a gengar and one of the eeveelutions, which would be best? I also plan to have Arcanine and Dragonite. I just need thoughts on the eveelution and a 6th member...

I would go with Jolteon. Always a good choice.

I love Espeon, but Espeon doesn't have the best move pool and you already have Gengar for special sweeping. You could still use Espeon with calm mind and baton pass to support Gengar though. Umbreon would be good too, amazing tank and annoyer. Confuse ray + toxic is awesome imo.

I don't remember is Donphan is gold or silver, but I would recommend him if you can catch him in your game.

I dunno what would fit your team honestly. I usually don't even use a full six pokemon on my teams since I tend to get what I need out of just 5 or less.

Soo anyways, I decided to ditch Yellow for Emerald, and currently am using a Bagon and Butterfree (don't ask how) and just arrived in Slateport. I don't know who else is going to be on my team though, I just really want to use Butterfree (who is better than Bagon at the moment ). I can use any Pokemon from the first three genrations, excluding legendaries. What should I go for?

EDIT: Now I'm thinking of a Salamence, Butterfree (4 da lulz), Starmie, and Arcanine. Thinking about Umbreon as well, since visually it's my favorite Eeveelution. Espeon's my favorite stat-wise though.

The game footage is cool. The cartoon... didn't really bother watching it (it's the cartoon. I don't need to explain any more)
I also noticed something odd in the game footage; they use the same victory music as HG/SS. Not that I am going to complain about that though as the G/S/C victory theme and it's remakes are the best in my opinion. The opening part of the wild battle song also reminds me of R/B/Y's wild battle song. The new games are looking even better by the minute and to all of those complainers who think the series should have stopped at Generation 1, you don't know what you are missing out on.

I don't know who you think you're talking to when you stay stuff like that man, because I don't recall seeing a single person on here ever act like as big a Gen 1 really devoted fan as you seem to believe some people here are. In fact I'm pretty sure I'm the most vocal Gen 1 lover in this thread and I never said anything to the effect of "the series should have stopped after Generation 1." Just because I complain about the new Pokemon doesn't mean I'm that much of a really devoted fan. There's a huge difference between having legitimate complaints and just spewing "Gen 1 was betta cuz it was dats all da reason u needs." My point is, you really need to stop yelling at people who aren't even there.

I wasn't shouting at you, I was meaning those people on the internet who really hate anything that isn't Generation1 and claim the other games don't exist. Just because there isn't any of those people here, it doesn't mean they don't exist. You don't have to look that hard to find them on other websites.
I do see what you mean though. I'll try to shop shouting at things that (hopefully) don't exist in these forums from now on.

By the way, does anyone know if connecting B/W to the computer will allow you do do battles over the internet? I hope it will as I don't want to change my internet's connection to an easily hacked connection just so I can use Wi-Fi (Sky broadband and a Windows 7 computer, meaning I have no other choice if I want to use Wi-Fi)

Pick umbreon for the eeveelution as it is a very good 'annoying' pokemon (as in, spam toxic, other stat effects and stat drops, double-team spam while carrying brightpowder, very hard to remove from battle e.t.c) and for your 6th member, get a riolou (it might not be in the johto pokedex, but it is still able to be traded over), Togepi (evolves into a good normal pokemon), Lapras (very hard to remove from battle) or Skarmory. Just so you know, pokemon not in the (expanded) Johto pokedex can evolve normally (as in, they don't stop evolving like in FR/LG).
