Hope the USkP team incoporates my http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4719 (currently a non-standard .esp) and http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6047 (standard .esp, but not localized) into the USKP. I can help with that too, if you don't mind having one more on the team, (although I do need to get more familiar with the CK).
That's awesome, headbomb! It will give them such a great head start.

Hard Answers -- I don't currently have a save past that part of the TG quest chain. I'm almost there and expect to have that quest completed again later today. I'll then see if I can recreate that bug. If I do I'll upload the save, if not I will add my report to that bug.

this is really not a big issue or a bug , but, I noticed it working on SCA..

EncWolf - is pointing to use SkinWolfBlack when should it not be SkinWolf.

When this does get a release, I'd love to see it on Steam Workshop so we can get automatic updates! It was always tough keeping the UOP up to date with the crazy amount of fixes going into it.

Be careful what you wish for. Any salary from Bethesda would be subjected to the short term priorities and long term strategies of the accountants tasked with keeping the company's high profit margins. And while I won't begrudge a company for wanting to make money on what they sell, I think it's fair to say that the track record for how much effort they put into quality assurance is well established.

But that's the magic of them making available construction sets/creation kits for the last decade's worth of Elder Scrolls and Fallout releases. They know that no for-profit company could ever compete with the polish that several hundred enthusiasts, driven by nothing more than pure love of the game, and working against no set deadline or release schedule, can put on the game. So they don't even try. They give us a starting point, and say "Here's your raw materials, whatever awesomeness you can build on top of this will be your payment for the effort you put in."


so umm.... anyway to donate to this madman?
This is the question that we should be asking instead.

Wow, you sure got a lot in there! I made a fast Orc fixer (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8474). It only makes corrections, nothing new.

Exactly what was corrected:

Garakh was correctly linked to her (already existing) vendor chest, and given her own faction (ServicesLargashburBlacksmith). She is a proper blacksmith vendor now.



I don't know the form IDs, but I fixed some dialogue:

DialogueDushnikhYalHuntingScene02: Arob: "Patience my son. The hunter days not welcome...." changed to "The hunter DOES not welcome..."



I reversed the speakers on the following two dialogues:

DialogueNarzulburMauhulakhDushnamub2 (Mauhulakh was calling his son "Father")

DialogueNarzulburMulGadba1 (This was changed because of Gadba's dialogue "Mul is the smart one. I go where he tells me.")

I didn't catch the chieften/chieftain error, but I'll leave that out in deference to the USP.

The following SHOULD be changed, but I've left it as it was (so far). What do you think?

DialogueDushnikhYalHuntingScene01: Arob: "The air has the smell of beasts. The hunt is good today." SHOULD BE "The hunt WILL BE good today." (The response to this line indicates that hunting has not commenced yet: Nagrub: "Yes, mother. I'm eager to prove my skills today."

DialogueNarzulburMulGadba3: Speakers should be reversed, for the same reason as above ("Can we both be chiefs?" sounds like one of those dumb questions Gadba would be asking.)



If you want to use it, I would be honored :smile:. Also, if you do fix these same things, any updates I make to my mod will only include updates, so when the USP comes out, I won't be redundant. I'll just refer people to you! :biggrin:

Edit: ATM, I am learning scripting so I can stop that daggum giant attacking after The Cursed Tribe is completed. But I am a not-quite-complete-scripting-newb (I know a LITTLE about scripts!), so it may take a few days.....

God, more:

-Thieves Guild male variant armor (gray sleeveless kind) has no first person mesh for the torso; used by Linwe's armor set. Just use one of the meshes from the topless bandit armors.
-Miner clothes variant (brown; worn by Esbern and Derkeethus) for males has the wrong texture. Should be brown, not white. Also affects generic "clothes" item with the same mesh.
-TGPost has priority 40; should be 51. TGDialogue has priority 50, and Brynjolf blocks conversations post-questline because of it.
-TG09Post never actually "completes", leaving Karliah to stand in Snow Veil Sanctum after "Blindsighted" because of it.
-Gallus' journal remains a quest item (it's alias is in TGDialogue, not TG06). From the looks of things, it should be removed during "Hard Answers" (Enthir reads from it).
-Imperial Decree that can be received from Tullius by being high enough ranked in the Imperial Legion does absolutely nothing -- even if the dialogue order is fixed and it's presented to the Thalmor guard, nothing happens. Probably best to just remove any references to the peaceful outcome for MS09.
-Worn Shrouded Cowl (both versions) and Ancient Shrouded Cowl are missing the mesh references for beast races.
-J'zargo should proabably cap at level 30 like other followers.
-A few aliases are missing DefaultSwapAliasOnDeath -- off the top of my head, TemplePriest in DialogueRiften and EastEmpire in DialogueSolitude. Also, check that the aliases for the replacement NPCs include AI packages -- some new Jarls and their staff get messed up because the packages either aren't there or don't cover a full day. When in doubt, just assign the previous occupant's AI.
-"Blood on the Ice" does not stop, leaving a few NPCs essential.
-Update.esm changed Talen-Jei to essential, apparently in response to a bug with TG01. Shouldn't his alias for that quest have just been changed to "optional," or possibly "allow dead"?
-All Thieves Guild armor, including Linwe's, does not count as part of a set.
-Mercer Frey receives a bow and arrows for the fight with him in TG08B, but I've never seen him use them. Does his combat style allow for ranged attacks?
-Runes are missing the keywords that would allow them to do more damage with the Augmented [Element] perks. Walls and cloak spells... they point to a damage type that has those keywords, and their magnitude description is static. Because they damage over time, it's difficult to tell if they actually do more damage.


Oh, and Ulfric and Galmar don't need --and probably shouldn't have -- coffins. Other actors who use that script, like Ancano, have thier inventory container pointing to a coffin in the dead body cleanup cell.

Bard's college instruments... now here's the odd thing. They're permanent quest items that don't get removed, but the script to remove them is intentionally commented out. That might mean that Bethesda has some further plans for them.

Ok I thought about doing it myself but here are some things that need a fix. Iguess it's better if the efforts for such unoffical fixes are combined.
  • "Worn Shrouded Gloves" have the same description as "Shrouded Gloves" and "Ancient Shrouded Gloves" still mentioning the backstab damage multiplier. The Enchant itself though is NOT applied to the Item as intended since the Worn Shrouded Armor Set is supposed to be unenchanted. (Sorry. The fix would be to remove that description)
  • The Worn Shrouded Armor Set can't be tempered on the workbenches.

Check argonian playable race attack data. Power bash does not have keyword assigned to it so disarming bash perk probably does not work for argonians. I discovered this by accident but did not actually test it in game to confirm the bug.

This is the only patch I'm really interested in... I'm waiting for it to be released before playing Skyrim. The vanilla game has way too many quest bugs.

I'd like this quest bug confirmed: I can't start the Restoration Master Spell Quest, even with Restoration at 100.
Taking a look at it in the CK (MGRitual04) shows that it is different from the other master spell quests, as it doesn't require you to be a member of the mage guild and is not a "Start Game Enabled" event. Could this be a real bug and nobody noticed because nobody uses Restoration magic, or is it just me?

Also, making Blood on the Ice playable once and for all would be great, too.

Activity on this mod seems to have dropped in recent days - can Kivan, Arthmoor, or Quarn confirm it is still being worked on? I see this as a vital Skyrim mod..

It's a mod like any other, so depending on how it's packaged up will depend on how it'll be installed... Could be vi Nexus Mod Manage, Steam Workshop, BAIN, or manually (I wouldn't really expect it manually though), executable install file... Or any/all of the previous... However given past history, the UP team tries to make it as painless as possible and as available as possible for folks... so it should be an easy install.

I just posted a [REQ] topic about this, but maybe you could include this in your unofficial patch. Could you fix the headless glitch? It occurs if you use the "tim" console command (toggle immortal mode) and get your head chopped off. Your head remains chopped off the rest of the game. I've tried the console command "fixes" that have been suggested but these do not really fix the problem. There's not really anything more I can say about the glitch, but other people have this problem as well (google "skyrim headless glitch" for more). Thanks for your hard work!
