From another thread I posted in here -

Something more to sink my money into by contributing to the community of a city my house is in - take the orphanage and its four orphans. My good but eccentric philanthropist character has too much money and is looking for good causes to become a patron of. Improve the orphanage (think of all those immortal children whose parents died fighting dragons!) or become a patron for a theater for example. Or build a library.

Or maybe the ability to fund an explorers club. They could go out and bring me rare alchemical components (the more I pay them the better their chances of bringing me good stuff and not getting eaten because they'll have better equipment and hire better guides).

Ability to join the Thalmor as an Altmer.

NPCs should recognize your race. Thalmor agents speak to my Altmer is if she was a puny, inferior human and not the Master Race specimen she is.

And that should be easy to do (the second part) race was recognized in Morrowind with corresponding slight disposition change and comments.

4. Expanding my role as leader of the factions. Once I am at the top, allow me to build up or tear down the factions. Allow me to truly command them or even change our goals - take us down a new path.


I think that could be a good thing, there was a Morrowind mod, Rise of House Telvanni that did pretty good with you guiding house Telvanni in how it dealt with the mage guild, the Company etc and many other things shaping house Telvanni's place in Morrowind society.

I would like more logical inter faction conflicts, make you think about who you choose as you wouldn't get to be boss of everything. More options of how to approach a guild - join them or resist them (probably best for "illegal guilds" like the Thieves Guild).

Organizational stuff, all for the arch-mage quarters, especially since some are already available in houses:

- Weapons rackS (plural) for the arch-mage quarters (or at least 1!)

- Little jewelry boxes, where I can separately store enchanted jewelry, regular jewelry, gems, etc.

- Wildly SECOND the call for the ability to store things on shelves (potions?!?!?!?!?!)

- The ability to have sub-menus when searching "chest" or "safe" ... what a pain, scrolling down that list!


Gameplay:

- The ability to hitch your horse to a tree, or dialog option "wait here."

- Horse combat.

- The ability to have dual-casting spells "drawn" (out) without it canceling an invisibility potion.

- The ability to make a stronger version of a potion that will last 2 or 3 hits beyond the first one.

- The ability to wear more than one ring.

- Climbing.

- The ability to get "well" rested from sleeping in the arch-mage bed.

Dragon Kill Cam...or the option to watch from the dragon's POV once the battle is over. How often have you been fighting a dragon, and out of no where, it flys to a near by mountain to fight something else and then comes back to you to fight.

I would love about 100 creatures to kill/fight.

* Just two things right off the top of my head.

More spells.
Spells that scale with the player's (or NPC's) level.
Spellmaking with (possible additional perk somewhere, or obtained via the college) multiple spell effects in one cast.
Polygamy :)

imo second more safe storage cottages, a reason to go underwater and maybe a small daedric realm questline.

definately a fight against/for the thalmor, seperate saves for characters, and hardcoe mode!

There is a boat wreak at the bottom of the northern ocean area close to where the Companions quest line ends, I found the boat but didn't see if you can go in it or not.

i'd like to see level 70 - 150 areas that really push the higher level character into even higher levels and adequate challenges for them. so higher exp rewards and higher level enemies.

After Knights of the Nine and how it was geared towards "Good" Paladin players, I was disappointed that there was no Paladin armor in Skyrim.

Please Bethesda, Make armor for Paladin's that protects us!

Artifacts of the Divines would be nice, We get daedric, why not Divines?

More groups to join up, a group of holy knights (Paladins), Dark Knight groups, Necromancer groups, Werewolf Clans, Vampire Clans, Etc.

i want the option to join the thalmor, even if it's as an underling doing tasks beneath their worth (if you play a nord, etc) and if im an altmer i'd like to be able to rise to thalmor level

Being able to do something on horseback even if it's just swing a sword, cast a spell etc. I hate having to dismount every time an enemy starts mauling my horse. Also, what happened to the 1st person cam whilst riding?

Vampire clans and quests, same for werewolves even though I don't play them myself; it's a missed opportunity as I heard many people ask the same.

Option to join/help the Thalmor or work against them. Whatever you seem to do in this game you are harming the Dominion and hey I happen to have one char that hates them but another that would join them asap.

Being able to divorce, also a marriage could be much more than leeching money of your partner and getting home-cooked food. It's a nice gimmick but could have been more if you needed to actually keep your spouse happy by visiting regularly, sleeping home etc. etc.

Kids; fix their annoying characters and the Nord clone kid-issue. Love to see more children from other races. Do them right or not at all.

I would unofficially like the following:

A first person view when mounted on a horse with the ability to pan -- basically I would like the Oblivion horse mechanics back.
A proper vanity camera as the current one is pointlessly restrictive -- I can't monitor my PC walking forward, backward, sideways.. well as a vanity camera it simply does not work.
To be able to see my PC in the menu so that I can view aesthetic changes to armour immediately.
To be able to bind left/right hand combinations to a single hot key.
To be able to jump whilst sprinting including whilst being mounted on a horse.


Officially I want patch 1.2 sent to Oblivion.

more followers - this game is all about environmental interaction. it is exceedingly well done - the dialog remodel and story telling is second to none - including the greats such as bg2 and ff7. dead thrall - the level 40 cap and unavailability of armor is somewhat discouraging.

magic system scaling. perhaps a charged system like fable or the shout system already in place. if you charge a spell for 1 second, it does double damage and costs 50% more mana. if you charge it for 2 seconds, it does 3x damage for double cost and stuns; at 3 second charge, it does 5x damage, costs 3x and knocks down. obviously, the charge has to be more effective than casting the spell repeatedly.
speaking of magic systems, the hotkey system is just cumbersome. let us hold a sword and shield while casting. . . the current state requires unnecessary micromanagement.
