As you se i have 4gb ram, how much will this say for the game performance?
Low settings and details probably if 6850. If 6870, perhaps some medium settings.
Basing this on the benchmark that was done at gamersnexus and the 250x that was benched at low settings for 1080p. A 6850 is a bit better than it.
I'm looking to upgrade my gpu for fallout 4 but I'm not sure what's compatible with my current build. Here are the specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) (Requires Z77 Motherboard)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX (Intel Z77 Chipset)
System Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance Series (High-Performance)
Power Supply: 600W Corsair GS
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Nothing in this system is or ever has been overclocked. I'd like to get at least high settings in fallout 4.
How do I even tell what gpu cards are compatible? Thanks for any help!
Hey,
I was going to ask you folks a question. I'm a big Bethesda fan and I have always been partial to buying the games on PC, even though I'm primarily a console gamer. However, my PC is nearing the end of its technical relevance at the moment and I'm stuck between getting it on PS4 and PC.
Bethesda says that mod support will likely be coming to PS4 at a later date, so that makes me optimistic that I'll eventually get away from the Vanilla game on there.. I'm running a i5 4670 and a R9 270x on my pc with 8 GB of RAM, so I feel like the graphical performance on the PC will be pretty dismal, but how do you think it will compare to the graphics of the PS4? Can't afford an upgrade at the moment.. Let me know what you think!
Cheers.
If you can't afford a better pc at, I would not play on PC.
In the long run PC is better tho, PCs which run Fallout 4 on Ultra come for laughably little money these days, I got mine for 1000 Eur, its prebuilt, people who build their PCs themselves laugh about me, how expensive I bought.
Thanks Tigs! I guess I'll find out tomorrow how well it does.
That would be great greg y! I'd love to know how you comp handles the game!
Hi
I am glad that all the video cards are neatly sorted, and mine falls into the "bit outdated but probably will perform nice and sparkly on high" category.
Also i have 8gb system RAM.
But i am concerned about my processor, and me knowing less than an antbutt about processors does not help.
It is an AMD a8 5600k 3.6Ghz 4core. Im afraid it does not even reach the minimum.
What can i expect?
I wont buy the game until i cant run it acceptably.
Hi everyone,
I have a few questions that I think will be useful for other people too:
1) How many cpu cores does the game use?
2) Is it possible to use higher monitor frequency than the usual 60Hz, without incurring in the infamous problems the previous games had?
3) Does it use G-sync or free-sync?
4) Does it make a good use of a SLI setup?
I know, the game has just released, but I'm sure someone will be able to answer these questions soon
Thanks in advance!
Update: Runs smooth on High with Intel Core i3 4330 3,5GHz dual core/hyper threaded + GTX 960 Great game!
I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm currently running Fallout 4 on a Mid-2014 Macbook Pro. I'm currently out of town until the 20th (Actually in Bethesda, MD), and as a die hard Bethesda fan I had to find a way to run this game at launch. Obviously bringing my PC with me on my trip wasn't an option, so I simply bootcamped Windows 10 onto my Macbook, and the games performance is pretty bad, but its something.
SPECS
Intel Iris Pro 5200 - 128 MB VRAM
Intel Core I7 2.20 Ghz
16GB of RAM.
Now Obviously I am WELL bellow minimum specs, but I wanted to see what your reactions were, and if anyone was running on anything similar?
Hi, was wondering if my laptop could run the game at 1080p or 900p, with at least 30 fps most of the time. Specs Below:
Intel® Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 2GB
Memory: 8192MB RAM DDR 3(?)
Thank you in advance.
The 660M is about on par with the GTS 450 desktop card...you're probably looking at low settings with those resolutions.
Hi guys,
i bought the game yesterday, but when its has finished downloading/installing, it wont run.
The error message says: "my graphic card coulnd't be found or recognised" (or something like that).
As my graphic card is kinda old i was wondering if this is the problem. How true are the predictions? According to that list i should be able to play low settings with my card.
i got an i5@2500
8 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 260 896 RAM
Win7 64bit
Before i buy a new card (which is overdue anyway) i want to know if i can run the game with my GPU or if the error occurs from somewhere else.
Anyone knows this error and could tell me if there is a workaround (patch or something) or if my GPU is just too old?
Thanks
Even if it doesn't recognize your card, you should still be able to run the game. Have you updated drivers lately?
Yes, i tried both my old driver and the new one:
New one is:
>GeForce 341.81 Driver
>Release date: 2015.8.24
There was also a new driver announced at Nov. 9th, so just 1 day old.
>Version 358.91
but this driver wasn't compatible with my GPU.
I too think that the game should at least be able to start, but even if its lagging as hell i would know that my GPU is too old. (bad language edited )
But it doesn't even start, which is strange.
However, when i start the game with minimal settings there is a windowed black screen and an error message pops up:
"Fallout 4 doesn't response anymore" (or something like this, i translated it in my mind. iam using german Win7)
