That has plenty of room.
Do you know what PSU you have?
I'm not sure... the list says both "CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 Evo" and "Noiseblocker BlackSilent XL1"...
Power Supply Unit
...and I might as well ask what budget you could manage now too.
Doh, sorry about that... though the list is not very clear (at least not to me) as to what the PSU is. But it's probably "Be Quiet! System Power 7 400 W"?
Edit: Budget, not sure yet... This upgrade would only be for Fallout 4 and I don't really care about max settings. Thanks for your help so far!
Thoughts on mine? (It's a laptop btw)
Intel? Core?i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-3630QM (2.40GHz) 6MB
8GB SAMSUNG 1600MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 4GB)
NVIDIA? GeForce? GTX 660M - 2.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX? 11
OS: Windows 7
I realise the main problem is the graphics card. Will it be able to run FO4 on medium settings at least?
If not, I'll get it on console for now until I get round to buying a desktop.
You could get away with a GTX 9602/4GB on that, though I wouldn't get anything more power hungry than that.
Sure FO4 is the game of the moment, but I'd get the 4GB version since it is a DX12 card, might as well future proof it the best you can. DX12 will keep the APU kicking longer since it is relatively weak.
Thinking of getting an MSI R9 380 4GB for my PC. What sort of power level will this put me at for FO4? I am assuming Max settings at least according to reviews for other games?
The card in question below

Let's go with medium. I would look into Overclocking guides cross-referenced to your model for the available bios mods. They OC amazingly
In general, not knowing your system, a good 500w unit minimum.
I PM'd you another GPU, use a good 600w PSU for it.
Normally you shouldn't have any problems with games that don't using much VRAM. !!!
Practically as you have an SLI configuration your Memory Bandwidth will be doubled (going to 256.5GB/sec) and the Shader Processing Units will be doubled as well. (384x2)
BUT:
The graphics memory is NOT doubled in SLI mode. !! So, If you have two 1GB graphics cards, you do NOT have an effective 2GB of VRAM.
Most of the games operate in AFR (alternate frame rendering). Tat means that the first card renders one full frame and then the next card renders the next frame and so on.
As SLI works that way it is easy to see that each frame only has 1GB of memory to work with.
So, if you wanna 2GB or even 4GB of graphics memory for certain games, then you need to make sure that each card has that much memory.
Saying that your SLI configuration is 45% lower than the rec req. (so let's say almost in the middle)
That means either your lower the resolution belove 1080p or yoy lower the graphical settings.
So at the end you don't gain on Vram but you gain on speed, and that means more fps. (at least on games that doesn't need much VRAM)

Really sorry - my fault, did not see your other posts. My alologize...!!!

First of the R7 GPU is a AMD Radeon R7 GPU with 384 Shaders and is integrated in the AMD Desktop Kaveri APUs like the one u use. (A10-7700K)
It uses shared memory from the system, and as the Kaveri supports DDR3-2133 main memory modules, it needs fast RAM and profits from high speed memory the most.
You can see some benchmarks with the R7 APU GPU in the following article:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-R7-384-Cores-Kaveri-Desktop.113341.0.html
That's where you system stands: http://imgur.com/Ijexk5o
You are 24% below the rec. req.
Asuming you have a fast CPU, you could try to play at 1080p (medium settings), and see if you can get more than that.
You may wanna check "The witcher 3" benchmarks as well. (as this game is also very demanding)

It's a good GPU for that price. !!!
What the heck are you talking about?
That case is shown with an optical drive and an aftermarket cooler mounted. [Look at the top of the window on the side panel to see the HSF]. Another approximation of how wide the case is, is that it has about an inch on either side of the 120mm fan vent on the top. In short, the case is wide enough to fit a standard PSU such as the Corsair CX/CS and a GPU. Length could be an issue for some GPUs, but length is definitely not an issue for a GTX 960.
...so it has plenty of room to fit a GPU/PSU upgrades.
You did not read my previous post (#136) above, obviously...
@thegreatsquare
Really sorry - my fault, did not see your other posts. My alologize...!!!
Thanks for all the help!! Would a new GPU such as the suggested GTX9602/4GB be enough - or do I need more upgrades?
I don't think there is a significant upgrade on the CPU side on the FM2+ socket.
To clarify, just in case, I was referring to 2GB and 4GB versions of the GTX 960. Also, make sure the power supply is the one you stated here. If it isn't, PM me or ask on the forum.
An GTX 960 4GB (Let's say this one for example:GTX 960 Asus Strix DirectCU II OC 4GB Edition)
will get you 25% below the recommended settings. (so pretty nice actually)
You CPU its between min and rec req.
I would say, change your GPU, and if the game comes out, you can make some other changes afterwards, if you are not satisfied with your RIGs performance.
Also to notice bencmarks indicate a 5% performance over the reference GeForce GTX 960 2GB. However i would go for the 4GB version on this particular GPU.
That's a fine GPU. Fast and has a reasonable price.
That's the GPU btw. http://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Overclocked-128-bit-DisplayPort-Graphics/dp/B00VRSERUI/ref=sr_1_15?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1445958792&sr=1-15&keywords=GTX+960

For the PSU as thegreatsquare stated above.
Thanks!! Though I think I remember the list with parts of my computer mentioning that the graphics card was integraded on the motherboard.
I don't know the first thing about the insides of a computer so maybe this is always the case, but if it's not - will that be a problem if I want to replace it?
i7 3770 3,4gh
16GB ram
R9270x DirectCU II Top 2GB VRAM
Resolution: 1920x1200
Comfortable FPS: 35-40+
So anyone can help me out with some prediction on what settings will i be able to play the game. In comparison Witcher 3 runs good on high settings(some even on ultra) without hairworks.
Im building a gaming machine for fallout 4.. I got most of the stuff.. but Im lost on a graphics card.. here is one I found... do you think it will do the job ok? or not.. please sound off....
EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Budget?
This is a reference 750ti vs a 550ti (the minimum spec gpu for fallout 4)
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-750-Ti-vs-GeForce-GTX-550-Ti
It shows nearly twice the resources in many fields.
Thank you.. I found it online for a 120 bucks.. I think that is what i am going with then.my budget it super cheap..lol
