Given the fact, that the graphical settings of those minimum and recommended settings are currently unknown, I wonder what my performance will look like...
I will probably run it at either 1440x900 or 1280x800.
2012 Macbook Pro Retina with an Nvidia 650m (stable overclock to the same values of a slightly overclocked 670m, but only 1GBDDR5 )
i7 3720qm 2.6GHz and 3.6GHz turboboost
8GB Ram
SSD
As of late I can run the CPU on turboboost and run the gpu overclocked without running into heat or power throttling issues, but I guess I will have to get one of those eGPU solutions at some point, Here is hoping that ENBoost comes to Fallout 4!
It was reassuring to see my GPU on the "old but still strong" list, good thing that I hadn't upgraded still. I'm only concerned about 1GB VRAM, hopefully the game won't refuse to launch.

I assume it'll be enough to play at low/med at 1080p, could play DAI at med/high settings.
It's 6950 though, not 6850. There's a tier difference based on OP's list, not to mention tests etc. It should fare better than 6850.
perhaps, perhaps not. Low and medium cutoffs are very subject to change in the guide provided, but I would think youd get low. With a 1GB VRAM 6850, you may even need to take the resolution down depending on your tolerance.
Even OCed, I'd imagine that 1GB 650m GPU would only get you low settings. The low resolution may help some. The 650m is somewhere around the GT 640 desktop area.
...you should know where you stand.
I'd think that's a safe assumption for now
Again it's kind of a we'll see what Fallout 4 will do for these Radeon 68xx cards and up. I for one am still optimistic that the 6850 can manage low, but good chance that resolution would need to be taken down for something better. Saw your response from the last thread and did respond to it...in any case, this area is to be closely watched once the game is officially out.
BTW Kingsword system has a 6950...low/med at 1080p is a fair prediction to me.
i just read about nvidia gamework in fallout 4(i already buy fallout 4 in steam)
but i dont have enough money to buy a gtx 980
my plan before is amd r9 390x
so can someone from bethesda answer to me please
what should i buy i can buy gtx 970 but i really dont like it
and there are no gtx 970 ti for now
can amd r9 390x work well with nvidia gamework
i cant sleep well
i worry much about the game
An AMD card isn't likely to play nice with the Nvidia Gameworks features, but both the r9 390x and gtx 970 should have no problems running the game on Ultra. On the AMD card any Gameworks features will be off-loaded onto your CPU if you have them enabled, so you'll need a strong CPU, or keep them turned off.
yea, that was helpful remmus...
Logan, according to the unofficial Will My PC run FO4 Thread, which I suggest you take a look at if you have any further questions, the r9 390x should be up there in the ultra graphics section. It should be a bit better than the gtx 970 but a bit worse than the gtx 980.
Ninja'd but rabbit has a good point, you should take into consideration NVidia Gameworks, just solely based on the graphics card performance the 390x should be fine though. That said there have been games, the latest Batman being the case in point, where developers have dropped the ball on making sure it can run well with AMD. Nvidia doesn't seem to have as many compatibility issues insofar as I know. I'm by no means well researched on that particular topic though, so grain of salt and all that.
Ew. I'd imagine those graphics will barely come close to a PC maxed Oblivion but ok...
Is it safe to assue that something like the TESV Acceleration Layer mod will come out for Fallout 4 or is the engine so polished by now that I shouldn't keep my hopes up?
i have amd fx 8350 4.0 g cpu this is problem ? if i buy 390x
i have a GTX 960 4gb and im running Witcher 3 almost at full, and GTA too. so im not worries. Yeah i wish i could buy a 980 i will be happy with it for more years but is to expensive for me now
