In case it's helpful, here is a benchmark list for comparing your desktop or laptop hardware (graphics cards and processors) to those included in the published requirements:

How will my MSI R7 370 4GB perform? I'm not worried about any of the other specs.

I am bang smack on the recommended requirements, I was planning to use downsampling and boost my res up to 1440p but oh well. I hope this is a case of inflated system requirements syndrome, but we'll see.

Looks like I won't be playing it on PC. So sad after running The Phantom Pain in such a god-like way.

Windows 10 64-bit

Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.30GHz

8GB RAM

NVidia GeForce 660M

I'm glad with where I stand on the PC requirements spectrum, but I'm just wondering if I'll have parity with the console versions. Think this trooper will meet 30fps/1080p without any significant graphical downgrades?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if i can run this game on high settings. Yesterday i've overclocked my Phenom X6 1055t to 3.7 GHz, i have 8gb of RAM an i will be upgrading to an MSI R9 380 4gb before launch. i think its adequate but i would like to hear your opinions, Thanx!

AMD Phenom II X4 905e 2.50 GHz
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB

I know my comp below the minimum, but I wonder can my CPU technically run the game?

My comp (except the GPU) is 6 years old, so If I need to buy a new CPU, then I need to buy the whole package (because the old motherboard).

If my comp could technically run the game, then I will try it out before buying a new one.

Can I run the game with lowest settings?

@Zocky:

Your card it somewhere between the minimum and recommended settings.

You can play it, just at lower resolutions. So don't except a fluently game-play at 1920x1080.

Also there is the factor in-game graphical settings for you. If you adjust them accordingly, you shouldn't have any major problems running the game.

Later on, if you are not satisfied with the games performance, you can change your GPU with a better one. But first wait for the first official (and unofficial) benchmarks.

@The Devine Crusader

If you have an i7 or at least an i5, resolutions lower that 1080p should be possible.

Just keep in mind your GPU paired with an i5 4670K, the game "The Witcher 3" should come close to 30 fps (1080p)

Of course it depends heavily from the in-game settings, post processing, hairworks, and so on...

Maybe you could overclock your cpu, my x6 was at 2.8 but now at 3.7 (at turbo) and its really easy to do. if you are intresested check youtube. Maybe it helps...

Yes, as far as i know...Fallout 4 is 1080p & 30fps on Xbox One and PS4. Obviously the cap will be there, to guarantee solid performance.

Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC. !!!

That means, the game should be as high as high as your rig can run it.

I know my rig can do Witcher 3 reasonably well, or well enough for me. I was also able to play Mad Max with no problems and my GFX card was way below the minimum for that.

Hoping I can run F4 at low in most everything thing but resolution. Thoughts?

Specs are...

AMD fx 6300 6 core 3.5gh (overclocked with auto tuning from MB)

EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1 GB GDDR5

8gb ram

Seagate Hybrid Drive ST1000DX001 1TB MLC/8GB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s NCQ 3.5" Desktop SSHD

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3 GHz

Ram: 16 GB

Hard drives: 2 TB 3.5 inch and a 250 Gig SSD

Graphics: Nvidia GTX 980 4 GB

--------------------------------------------------------------

I'm at the point where my processor is really the weakest link, but i think the 1100T will be around for a while yet before i'm forced to upgrade. I've always stayed away from intel due to their stupid high prices, but its kind of concerning that I can't overclock my 1100T :(

[edit: i know Ill be able to run the game easily, maybe not on all max settings but pretty close. Just sort of giving a benchmark for other people to compare to if they have same or close setup]

Please make sure you are careful when overclocking AMD. MOST of their processors weren't made to be overclocked, and doing so can trigger blue screens. The reason being is most of their processors have it built in to shut down if any changes in its stock voltages are changed (thats exactly what over clocking does, changes voltages). This happened to me when i was fooling around with mine when i first got it. There might be a work around but fiddling with your processors factory settings can be quite dangerous, and you can can lose your processor easily.

GPU: GeForce GTX 760 (192 bit)

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4770 CPU @ 340 GHz

Memory: 8.00 GB RAM (7.91 usable)

OS: Windows 8.1

So how will my PC hold up?

I'm not too worried about my GPU. It's not the best but it's still decent. Unlike my CPU, which is so outdated that Newegg doesn't even sell it anymore.

After I upgrade my CPU, I expect to be able to run the game at 1920x1080 on medium to high graphics settings, but not ultra. That'll be good enough for me.

Thanks for your input!

My GPU (GTX 770) is fine, and I've got the 8GB RAM. I'm just a little concerned about my CPU, which is an i5-2500k. Hoping it'll hold up all right.

I think that should be fine. I don't think my 3570k is leaps and bounds better than the 2500k and I'm pretty confident it'll do just fine. Would have gotten what you have had I built my PC 3 months before I did. I did upgrade to a 970 last year from a 660 TI and honestly I should have waited on that, but this game probably would have had me wanting to upgrade if I hadn't already.

ignore my grammar errors

Hey folks, what about a Q9550 2.8Ghz + GTX 650 ti boost 2GB + 8gb RAM?

I run GTA V at 1440x900 in minimum settings at 30fps without any problems (35 ~ 45 fps without FPS limit).
But, GTA V requires only a Q6600...

Can i run Fallout 4?

I'll be able to run it, and probably pretty well, but with an aging mobo and cpu, I may want to consider updating those if I intend on overdoing it again with the mods.

Unfortunately, life has had other plans for me, so updating those two components may have to wait a while.

Win 7

Intel core i7 2600k

8 GB RAM

GTX 780 TI

2 SSD Drives (one for OS, one for games) Two additional HDD's for...other stuff. :whistling:

Do you think being just under the recommended CPU will make a difference if the rest of you build is over kill? I want to max this mofo out!!!

i7 4770K @ 3.5 (not over clocked)

Titan X

16 gb Ram

Win 7 64

I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade or buy a new rig yet.

Right now I'm running a i7 920 @ 3.2, 6 gig ram, 580 GTX. ( need to upgrade ram and GPU )

Thinking about getting a 6700 k @ 4.4, 16 g ram, 970 4 gig rig.

Surprised on high the CPU requirement is..the 4970 is ranked number 12, the 6700k is 10. The 920 is like 79. lol ( Oct CPU rankings )

If I could use a controller, I would just buy a console and hold off buying or upgrading as Fallout 4 is the only game in the foreseeable future I really want to play that badly. However I can't use a controller ( X-Box or PS ) to save my life. ( I've tried believe me.)

Not sure what I'm going to do.

so will this game run on a 1 GB card? if so, how well? and if not, anybody have suggestions on a inexpensive card that will play the game? I've got the 8 gigs or ram, i72600, but the card is a little dated, HD6800. though it does have the required pixel and vertex shaders, just not 2 gigs of memory.

Ouch... My guess is if you're going to be able to play it at all it will be on the lowest settings. Which you do not want.

On the positive side, an upgrade for you wouldn't cost too much, i'dd suggest re-furbished cards if you're a little low on cash.

But if you're like me, if you're going to upgrade you might as well make it worth your money and your time. The Nvidia GTX 970 will get you the most "bang for you buck" right now. http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Super-Clocked-Graphics/dp/B00NVODXR4/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1444353593&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+970 and http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00NVODXR4/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1444353593&sr=1-1&keywords=gtx+970&condition=used

And the top of the line is of course a titan if you're NOT short on cash. http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Dual-Link-Graphics-12G-P4-3990-KR/dp/B00JZ4SN4C/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1444353863&sr=1-1&keywords=nvidia+titan

Im in no way trying to advocate amazon, its just where i usually buy cards for the pc's i build now-a-days.
