...oh noe hope i havn't started a cold war with that.

Kay'.
Your personal opinion doesn't matter(s).
In all seriousness though, it's pretty obvious you posted that to troll and rouse a response from someone. Pretty fail, IMO.

Don't pull me into your evil schemes. :whistling:

I got WotLK today, but I'm busy leveling my new troll hunter atm. Well, he is actually over a year old from a long time ago, but I stripped him of his alchemy/herbalism professions and have been farming for copper and tin ore to train up engineering.

I'm at 150 engineering and 128 mining and I only started last night. <3 GatherMate.

Also, how do you get to Dalaran? That's one place I'd like to see.

I've never used Gathermate, so I can't tell you. :(

And Nami88, you get to Dalaran by either being summoned by a Warlock, ported by a Mage, or flying there on your flying mount. But you can't do that for the first time until level 77 (I think), when you learn Cold Weather Flying. I think that there is a quest that ports you there too somewhere in Northrend.

How does Gathermate work? It seems it could be very usefull.

Download these two:
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gathermate.aspx
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/gathermate_data.aspx

Then import the data from the interface options in-game, and it will show you all possible spawn points of every resource node.

EDIT:
Dang, guess I could buy a port and set my hearth there.

Yep, that works. I mean most mages with any consideration port people for free anyways, I always get free ports.
Not like it's hard to click a button.

a 10c reagent lol.

20s :P But still cheap, anyone who can port to Dal shouldn't even notice the price.

Porting can still be a touchy subject with some mages. I don't mind porting for free, and usually people offer to tip a few gold, which is fine with me. Some get all anol about it though and either charge 10-50g, or expect massive tips, or both. Depends on the mage really. Like any other player, some are just ass hats.

If I'm busy or travelling, someone whispers something rude like "i need port," or an invite pops up in my face (especially while I'm busy, like at the bank or AH :swear: ), I say no and /ignore them. I can also understand charging if the mage is constantly getting requests, but I've yet to experience that.

Just whisper them and ask nicely, and offer a tip. There's always a few standing around in SW or Org, and some actually hang around just to be available for porting.

@Gate: gratz! :celebration: Nagrand's one of my favourite zones for flying, and flying makes farming SO much easier!

@RocknRolla: seriously?? If it was a legit invite, then gratz too! :celebration:

Wait a minute.
Did it have a Blizzard icon by the name? Did they tell you to go to a site? If so, that wasn't really Blizzard, but a hacker trying to get info on your account.
The Beta is something you download from the Official Battle.net account management page.

Yeah, you only get beta invites from emails. And you have to opt in for the Beta. I'm afraid you just got scammed, I really hope you didn't go to that site.

ditto ditto ditto -- Blizz RARELY ever whispers people in the game, and if they do, it's not a plain whisper.

Been a lot of whispers from scammers lately, best thing to do is report it and /ignore.

Sorry to burst your bubble :(

So, my lock is now level 74, and I just threw down 4.5k gold on epic flyer training on him.
I'm glad I did - faster leveling is such a plus, especially for someone who hates leveling as much as me..Plus, I'm just assured now, like a burden is gone, don't have to worry about that 5k.

I have found that leveling as a tank or healer is now the fastest way to level.

Instant dungeon queues are awesome.

I seriously hope you didn't go to that website and type in your account details. If you did I would advise you to IMMEDIATELY log on to Battle.net and change your password and possibly email address too.

So I have a strange dilemma.

I have recently come back to WoW after quitting for around a year, during this time my account was compromised and subsequently suspended by Blizzard. Upon renewing my interest in the game, I recovered my account through the proper channels and am now playing again. It was obvious looking at my characters they were being used to farm cloth, probably for gold sellers or something. Now, they must have been working as a group, in some sort of farming network and since I've been playing I am getting anonomous post full of stacks of cloth and gold. I'm not really breaking the rules here, for all I know I have a secret admirer?

Looks like the gold farmers are doing me a service, compensation for all that trade channel spam.

I'm now a level thirteen Dwarven hunter. I have a pet snow leopard named Bishop.

I am probably going to buy the full version tomorrow if Wal Mart has it.

You don't get whispers from Blizzard!

Any conversations that take place with representatives of Blizzard are carried out in a special conversation interface. You will NEVER get an ordinary whisper from a real Blizzard employee.

If I were you I would talk to a GM straight away about the mail you are getting. Keep the items and gold, don't spend it or use it. It could be coming from other compromised accounts, and if they find you to be in receipt of stolen items and gold you'll probably be perma-banned. Best to cover yourself.

Did they change this? Because the last time I talked to a GM it was an ordinary whisper. They just have different colored names or some kind of tag. I don't remember.
