The reason DKs are hard to master is there really is no rotation. It's priority based on situation. Just like a Shadow Priest.

That's not quite true, on bosses there is a strict rotation, at least for Unholy: PS IT BS SS BS DC HoW SS BS SS BS DC DC (DC if enough RP). Frost is more dynamic because of the killing machine procs.

FIREDAMAGE: Paladins are kind of being hit with the nerf bat in Cata. Funnily enough, their burst damage is actually being increased, however they now have to ramp up to it, they lost cleanse and their mobility has been reduced. Rets have also been given a more complex PvE rotation which some like as it makes it less boring to play. So maybe not nerfed but 'balanced' as Blizz like to put it.

I agree with the Paladin changes to be honest. Paladins in BC were just stupid, as far as ret went, the rotation was literally 2 buttons. I don't know how it is in WOTLK but from what I hear it's a pretty simple rotation. I want Fury to have a good rotation again too. All it is now is just Heroic Strike/other spell macros, such as HS/BT, HS/WW, and HS/Slam. It's pretty dumb. =/ With Cata they are bringing in Raging Blow, which can only be used while enraged, so managing enrage effects for RB will be more fun I think.

This DK stuff is extremely fun so far. I finally got out of the starting zone, so now I'm just running around leveling my mining and skinning.

I thought the DK starting zone was pretty fun. I did it twice, I started a DK once and then deleted him because I wasn't having any fun, plus I didn't have time to level him. I thought I'd start over at a later time and and be able to focus on it. I did, and now he's 80. :) Fun class.

Beta servers are currently down for maintenance...that counts right? No? Damnit, okay, I think I have some screenshots, not much but something.

I started a Dwarf shaman earlier today and once I got out of Coldridge it got pretty fun, I'm starting to remember why I liked the Shaman class and I like the changes that have been made to the class thus far. My Worgen warrior just finished STV and is taking a break due to some content not being quite ready for testing. Turns out I had more unused shots that I thought, took a while to upload it all :P Hope you enjoy them.

EDIT: About the Worgen, those two braids are currently the only option available, fur colour, facial hair options and face structure/fangs are not available at the moment so all Worgen look the same. Once barbershops finally get fixed I hope to see some more options in, and I'll update with plenty of pictures of Worgen when I actually can, though I won't do every single possible combination I'll try to get a nice variety.

Thanks, I'll try to remember to take more. Though once more stuff is working I'll be able to get a wider variety of pictures, especially of Worgen appearance options.

Yes, more pictures of goblins please. :P

I may have to try out a Worgen warrior once Cata is released, I'm definitely going for a goblin dk though.

Do you guys get to keep your characters from Beta, or do you lose them once the retail version is released?

We do not get to keep them as far as I know, we have to start all over again. That's why I've stayed away from 80+ content so far and focused on alts. That way I am determined to level Warpants to 85 first and get in on the raiding scene early, if that turns out to bore me eventually then I'll go on to alts, though I will probably level a Worgen whenever I have downtime after reaching 85.

EDIT: The beta was just updated, I will need to uninstall and re-install the beta launcher, so it might be a while untill I'm back in it, probably not untill I get back from Spain in about a week, but hopefully sooner.

EDIT2: Apparently the new launcher features a streaming option that allows you to play the game while patch data is being downloaded and installed, I'll update as I find out how exactly that works and how well it works.

EDIT3: Gamer.no just posted an article on Blizzard, it appears to be Blizzard thinking back on things they could've done differently, I'm posting a version of it here translated with google, keep in mind the translation is by no means perfect, but it should be readable. I haven't read it myself as I'm typing this, I will once I post.

Yeah, Urge is correct. You never, under any circumstance get to keep anything from the Beta. It's a completely separate server from your live characters, and you can't intermingle with them at all. The Beta is basically a glorified PTR (Public Test Realm) where people test new content like Ulduar, and ICC, before they come out in patches. You can xfer your characters to them, or make completely new characters, and you are given thousands of gold, and items/gems for free on those toons, but that realm is just a test realm, has nothing to do with your live account characters realms. Same thing with the Beta.
And nice pictures, Urge. :) I asked, and received. I love Org so much. GAH.

I haven't gotten heaps of gold yet, I've had to make due with the 7k I had when I copied Warpants. However, if you make a premade character they will have no gems or enchants in their gear, so they've added vendors for that I think, and all glyphs can now be bought in Dalaran along with free battered hilts simply because the AH is mostly empty.

Does anyone else get annoyed when someone needs something, even if its a trivial item? So I guess its called Ninja-ing, but is needing something like that worth it? Is it worth getting annoyed over. It'd be one thing if a caster or something ninja'd a plate item just to be a dike, but something like the Dog Whistle, is cool, but not even really needed. Anyways I just felt like I needed to rant it out.

Me and my friends play with a simple rule. if you actually need the item, then need it. Otherwise, greed. I honestly almost never have trouble with ninjalooting, mostly because I tend to group with friends for the most part, and anyone who is caught doing something like that is kicked immedately.

I don't like people who ninja things, and there is a reason to get mad if someone actually does ninja an item. It's childish. But your example, yeah, the Dog Whistle from SM isn't something to get upset about.

Actually, it's common convention to need on items like that. Reason being is it stops people from ninjaing and it's just more fair as noone "needs" the item, so it becomes just a global roll sort of thing.

I'm installing the new Beta client now, but I doubt it'll be done anytime soon. Chances are I won't update here for about a week, I'm getting on a plane at around 6AM tommorow morning, so I'm leaving at 3AM tonight...I have to be there two hours early, this is gonna be rough :P

EDIT: Just got a phone call from a friend I'm going with, turns out we don't leave untill 6AM on Saturday, so I might be able to get on and grab a few pictures for you all, we'll see.

Anyone see the new installer client? I'm not so happy about it.
It seems like it's going to be a big fuss for nothing, and it seems like people with slow internet connections are going to really suffer when it comes to downloading the game world "as they play", that's just stupid IMO.

I just took a look at the guild perk system, it looks pretty sweet. Should really get new players to the game try and join a guild in the beginning which is good.

I agree I'm not a fan of this new launcher, I'm downloading 14GB right now...and the stupid thing won't even go over 100kb/s...that's ridiculous, my normal speed is around 500kb/s or more, at this rate it'll be done in about 35 hours.

EDIT: My speed is improving, gonna go grab some food and see how it goes when I get back.
