Yeah Urge, I don't expect it to happen anytime soon, considering all that would have to be done. Refitting all races skin tones, faces, hair, eyes, etc, that's a lot of work, male and female.

Got any BoE stuff sitting in the bank to help gear up? It's horrible when you ding 80 and realise all your gear svcks in comparison to everyone else's.

That's what friends are for, I remember spending a week at a LAN and most of the time was spent gearing up Warpants in heroics.

Grats by the way Betrayer. :)

Gratz! :celebration:

Blizzard has commented on the need to update their vanilla models for the races, but said they don't know when it'll happen, as it takes a lot of time to update models like that, considering the different faces for all races would have to be changed, including hair styles, and that would definitely take some time. Time that they don't have to spare right now with Cata coming out.

That's the thing, I thought changes to the races' models was going to be part of Cata. It's a big enough change that it'd pretty much have to be in an expansion IMO. And it's not like they just started on Cata, it's been in development for a while now -- maybe they've already been working on models, like they've already tweaked Thrall and whomever else. It couldn't be an afterthought, it'd have to be worked on at the same time as the rest of the content...if it's in the expansion after Cata (if there is one), it would make sense that all that work would have already started (probably by the first time the issue came up), but just isn't complete in time to be included with Cata.

The female Draenei is perfection though.

Agreed, she's my favorite character model.

In other news, off to by a 60 day game card, now that my 12 hour a day 7 days a week job has ended and I have time again.

The rumour mill ( I seem to remember a blue post alluding to this) is that they want to do it, but aren't prioritizing it now due to all the other work they need to do on Cata, what I heard was that they were cosidering doing it as a free content patch actually. Though that is speculation, blue post or not. Still, I'm pretty sure it's coming eventually, look at Goblins and Worgen compared to Draenei and Blood Elves. There's a pretty noticeable difference in quality, and Draenei and Blood Elves were miles ahead of the vanilla races already, so it seems like a no-brainer, and it's absolutely in demand. Blizzard has made mistakes like everyone else, but one thing they do right is listen to their fans.

I remember a while back a thread on barber shops were started, I was a huge advocate for that and supported that thread like all hell, when that made it in I was so happy, I've probably spent thousands of gold on haircuts alone :P

I decided to take a break from WoW. It's gotten too reptetive for me as I just got my shaman to a decent gear level. I don't know if I'll come back either. Guild Wars 2 is looking pretty appealing to me.

Gunther, do you know about Cata? It's looking to be pretty damn amazing so far, Guild Wars 2 doesn't even come close to the content.

They really need to fix Forsaken. I have three casters (both male and female) and hate how the sleeves of robes look. With the protrusion of elbow joints, knee joints, and spines through all armor it just ruins the gear. On the casters it looks like the sleeves should just fall off. Same thing happens with plate wearers. Makes every set look like flood pants. And what do they do, punch holes in all their chest pieces and cloaks to make sure the spine gets some air?

Grats on 80 BoH. Now get some purples scrub for 6k gs TotC 25. :P Just playin, you know how brutal some pug requirements are on gear. What spec you plan on going as for raiding?

And I can see why Hemet wants to kill everything in Nagrand. That's just wrong.

I [censored] hate this new auction house "per stack/item" [censored]. I can't tell you how many times it just changes itself to per item, and I end up putting something up for 1600 gold instead of 40.

Really fun class honestly, I'm very glad I took the time to level this guy. He's making me lots of gold too. :o

Lol, so true Nami. I changed it, not because you said something but because when I get my tier 9 helm in 4 badges, it looks really stupid with that haircut.

I'm sort of in the same boat as Gunther, I'm currently levelling my hunter for a nice change from end game and it is quite fun, I can just see myself falling to a different game, at least for a while. I'm not knocking WoW at all, it's by far the best MMORPG I've played, whenever I decide to play a different online game I always inevitably fall back into WoW at some point. I haven't really enjoyed WOTLK as an expansion and I'm a bit disappointed with the direction that the game is taking, things are just far too easy. Things that used to be hard and earn you a little bit of exclusivity, a feeling of achievment, seem to have faded out. :(

I'll definitely try GW2, TOR and the Cata expansion as well, I hope it captures my interest again. Maybe I'm just jaded, I've played for a pretty long time now. Whatever happens, I salute WoW for giving me some good times!

*Need a salute emote!?!*

I can't look up your character for some reason so I don't know what side your own but I always started on Felwood around that level. Grinding reputation with the Timbermaw Hold. You need to be chummy with them to get to Winterspring and Moonglade. There is a horde settlement there and a Cenarion Hold place as well.
