How much more does it cost than the regular expansion? Only reason I'd buy that is the 60 card starter deck.

40 bucks extra really isn't that much extra when you look at how much extra you get. I'm personally interested in the production of Cataclysm so I guess it makes it worth it for me. Plus a one of a kind Deathwing pet that most others wont have? Yeah, that's pretty awesome.

Lol when I do random dungeons everyone always pulls out their unique pets to show off and I couldn't care less.

I have like 4 pets? The baby blizzard bear, a pumpkin from the halloween event, chilly the penguin and a baby raptor I happened upon on Wailing Caverns.

Well, collecting pets may not be a big deal to you, and that's fine, but it is to a lot of people.
Personally for me, it's not a huge deal. I like them, but I don't 'AW MAH GOD I NEED THEM NAO' freak out if I can't get one. I'd just like to have the Mini Deathwing pet. I like rare things, and things like the CE exclusive pets they come out with for every expansion are one of a kind, never to be gotten again once they run out.

I've been meaning to check on how many realms are left to do now -- once they're all done, there'll probably be a world event, yes? Do they announce those, or do you just witness them if you happen to be on at the time? I've heard lots of stories from the zombie apocalypse that happened last year

Yeah 24 hour maintenance svcks. Anyways a couple of questions for the Cata testers here:

-You were mentioning the mount speed increase upgrade (280-310% @ 5k gold), does this negate the effect of crusader's aura?

-Is there a cost for Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor flying? And if so, how much is it?

-Do you have to reroll for the Human Ranger or is it a "pay-to-play" type of deal?

-How exactly is archeology working out?

-Whats the special enchanter pet?

Finally got through Sunwell on my Paladin, which is many years behind schedule (and took like 15 minutes with a full group of ICC geared players ) but just seeing KJ for myself and experiencing the encounter was well worth it, now if I can just get a group of sensible people to run AQ40 I'll finally have my "classic raider" achievement. Its really unbelieveable how many people fail at the Twin Emp's fight, also in ICC gear...it makes me sad for humanity.


I'm so close to "What a long, strange trip it's been" I think I only have "School of Hard Knocks" and the friggin candy valentines thing to do...both of which are eons away before they start again.

I broke a 100k in gold however, which is one of the more positive things thats happened recently, but I still can't win a roll on gear if my life depended on it. Ironically I made most of that off of pets, which are pricey and shockingly easy to farm.

A world event right now is probably a little early, since they did the same 24 maintence a few weeks ago on a different batch of servers and no events happened, they will probably announce an actual release date during Blizzcon (if I had to guess I'd say first week of November). This world event should be an excellent one though.

Humans can be hunters, but I'm not sure what you mean by Pay to Play.
You can roll a Human Hunter once cata hits, it doesn't cost anything besides your sub fee to play WoW. 0.o

And no, there is no cost for Azerothian flying, it's just a given ability once Cata hits. You of coarse have to have regular flying skills as if you were in northrend, however.

Undead Hunters should be fun.

Although the first thing I'm making is a Goblin Shaman.
