On a side note, gathering professions now grant XP. When looting a node, flowers, ore veins, etc, you now get XP along with the items.

Yeah, Boub is usually right about this stuff. He announced the main features of Cata to the letter about a month before it was announced. So yeah, November-ish, as I thought. Looking closer at the Beta that seems like a reasonable release date.

About levelling, I made a mage yesterday, level 17 now and I'm actually really enjoying it.

Put together an ICC 10 run for my guild mates with me being the raid leader(which I rarely do) pugged a tank and filled the rest with my guild. Started to only do Marrowgar for the weekly then we decided to do Deathwhisper...then we had to do lootship and Saurfang.

We do everything very well, I am using a demo spec for my warlock now, taking some time getting use to the rotation from the simpleness of destro but i'm liking it. Pop meta then immolate aura and then spam seed of corruption=17k DPS on trash lol. Doing 7k on bosses in 10 mans.

Disgusted with my rolls..Muradins spy glass dropped on lootship I rolled a 5..shadow priest from my guild won. Shoulders from Saurfang drop, I roll a 9..shadow priest wins shoulders. Probably wouldn't bother me if he tried to DPS and hadn't told me he wants to be holy spec after winning 2 DPS caster items.

On my server, general pug loot rules, and even guild runs that don't use DKP, are 1 epic and 1 tier piece per raid, and you only get a 2nd item if no one else wants it but you. Offspec rolls are infinite though.
That is unless it's a GDKP run, which you can get whatever the [censored] you want as long as you bid the highest.

I wouldn't worry about losing the spyglass. That thing seems to drop almost every week I'm in there. My spriest and lock both have it along with every caster in the guild. Now Dislodged Foreign Object is a myth. Only seen it drop once and it went to someone we had to pug.

Our loot rules are about the same. Can't win any more than two items unless no one else needs an upgrade. And you have to have at least a 226 item proving you actually try to attempt to pull your own weight. Trinkets are an exception to that though since they can be a pain to find an upgrade for.

No one has had a gripe about it so far in two years of raiding.

The zones and quest lines themselves are generally the main focus of leveling, and if you pay attention to the quest, they have a lot of storyline to them. Most questing areas have some sort of questline that has chain quest leading up to the killing of an elite, and then moving on to the next zone.
But yeah, it's an MMO, it's a grind up until level cap. That's just the nature of it. Once you hit 60 though, those quest get a lot more fun.

If that is what you meant, then yes, most of them are actually. I've never played one that wasn't mainly grinding, disguise it behind an elaborate quest and it's still at it's core grinding. I have no problem with it though, I find WoW fairly entertaining, if I didn't I wouldn't play it.

What kills me is this, I had a hardcoe Final Fantasy "really devoted fan" say that he hated WoW because of all the grinding :facepalm: x1000

I think about it now, I should of told him he already won a piece. But I am actually more geared then him even with him winning those 2 pieces. Plus I ran a ICC 25 last minute at like 2 am and won some ICC 25 man stuff.

Anyone do some frost tanking on a dk? Through default I have received 2pc t10 Sanctified tanking set in VOA 25. I should really learn the setup, rotations, and look for some good weapons to go with it.
