A lesson for you all: Need every item or you'll have your humanity questioned.

I was about 4/5 of the way through Stonecore Heroic with a random group. After a pair of gauntlets dropped from the dragon boss I saw they were worse than what I had, so I just greeded them. The tank quickly proclaimed "Wtf pally you dont need on a better item than you have you must be a bot". I was thus kicked by him and his 2 other guildmates. (One of which was managing a measly 3.2K DPS). The gloves in question would have dropped my Crit Rating by 150 with no real bonus.

So kids, remember, need every item, even if its worse than what you currently have, otherwise you'll be called a piece of software and kicked from your heroic dungeon.

3.2k dps?? plz tell me you're joking because damn i mean wtf o.0

So....just did Bastion of Twilight first time. Too easy, we 1 shot everything but stopped after the dragon twins so we could do Throne of Four Winds and kill the conclave and then head back to Blackwing Descent for Chimareon. I managed 27k DPS on Halfus(first boss) 16-17k DPS range on others since they're are not hit as hard as him.

Chimaron fight can go diaf....

What are you guys feelings about archeology? Have you got anything from it? Won't even touch it? I've been grinding it out while waiting for my heroic queues and got it maxed. The wait times on this can make it easy. Anyways, I just got the pattern for the Fossilized Raptor Mount. Still waiting on the Dwarf staff pattern and Night Elf Trinket. Mostly I have stuff from the Night Elf sets. I wish that more Tol'vir sites would pop up.

Grats on the raids amdavis. Sounds like the new guild can really tear it up.

I got the raptor pet and I haven't really bothered with it after that, the Dwarven baby socks have become an in-joke in my guild though :P The mount looks stupid in my opinion so I'm not really putting any effort in to get it. It's by far the coolest gathering profession, but it does get boring eventually.

Is 7.6k DPS good for a cataclysm heroic (Tol'Vir)? I dunno if Recount records time you're not in combat (my first time using it), but we wiped twice on Siamat and I assume the 7.6k is averaged over the whole dungeon.

I don't have a lot of heroics yet, but I have a few pieces of PVP honor gear.

It's better to set up Recount to count for Current Fight. Trash dps doesn't matter as much bosses dps. Setting it up for overall can dip down your real dps by not counting for Soul Harvesting, Soulstoning someone, and getting into position for next pull.

Yeah, current fight dps is really the only viable thing to look at, Overall will count all your downtime.

Just dinged 50. This is probably the fastest I've ever leveled. Having a lot of fun with my frost mage so far and can't wait to dive into Outland soon.

It's just that the 1-58 content is so good now, that Outland and Northrend become that much more boring. Especially seeing as I levelled my Mage to 80 the day before Cata hit, I am dreading going through Outland and Northrend again.

Is it me or is it INSANELY easy to level now? Or is it just fury warriors are insanely good levelers?

I love my Worgen Fury Warrior. He's level 32 now :)

Levelling has never really been hard, though it is far less time consuming yeah.

With heirlooms and guild benefits my dwarf shaman has a 30% XP bonus for kills and quest turnins. That's not even the highest bonus I can have, but I haven't gotten the guild rep required to buy the new heirlooms, namely a helmet, cape and ring that all add to that XP bonus in addition to having great stats.

So yeah, it is much easier to level now, but levelling was never really the point, raiding was. Though with Cata's new quests levelling is far less of a chore and something you might actually enjoy.

Yeah it used to be you get all the quests in an area, do em all, and level once, then the rest are red to you. Now you constantly level and the area quests always remain green cause you level too fast lol

Leveling speed is pretty absurdly fast in the lower half of the game. If you're questing in a 10-20 zone and do the odd dungeon run on the side, you're quickly going to find yourself with a bunch of greyed out quests in your log. That was my experience when I rerolled on a new realm without using any heirlooms.

I was questing in Azshara and did maybe 3-4 dungeons using the LFD tool. Even though I was higher than the intended level range for the quests I was determined to finish the entire zone. When I was done I was level 26, and got breadcrumb quests to Ashenvale, but by then it was already time for me to move on from Ashenvale to Stonetalon Mountains.

I made a Goblin Shaman and I wonder what spec is more "fun" and relatively faster for leveling Enhancement or Elemental?

Enhancement by far. Elemental is pretty lackluster, maybe not as bad at low levels but it was garbage leveling 80-85 as ele.

1-60 Leveling is a little fast right now IMO. I don't know if it will give new people enough time to know their class. I was on my rogue that has 20% xp boost in BoA's. I did one BG where I was around 45% at that level. By the time the BG was over (Strand of the Ancients) I leveled up and gained enough xp to almost level again (@ 87%).

Exactly my experience as a lvl 43 hunter. I was questing in the Plaguelands, and doing dungeon or two every once in awhile, and quests were almost always green, and sometimes I blew right through them to gray.

Just made a healer ragequit. Apparently using Feign Death to survive a wipe is bad news bears and with my poor attitude I'll never get into a level 85 raid!

If anyone remembers the quest in the swamp of sorrows where you get shot out of a cannon onto a ship, I just had a pretty funny moment. I decided to use slow fall while flying through the air and overshot the ship by a good 500 feet. It was awesome but I soon drowned since I was out too far.

I tried again in another cannon to try and make it into the next zone over, Blasted Lands, but it made me parachute to safety in the same zone instead. :(

Sounds like he was a jerk that couldn't keep the group alive so took it out on you. If it was me as the hunter I would have teabagged him until he left if they gave crap. Feign Death is used to keep enemies off of you. If you're the last one left and Feign Death is not on CD you would be stupid not to use it.

@Suffca: Never did that quest. Is that a new one added in the Cata revamp? I don't remember any ships there.
