According to that trolls can be Warlocks

I guess Trolls are the most diverse race in the game now..... except for Dwarves, where some of the classes don't even make sense; I always thought Dwarves were the anti-magic race.

Dwarfs were anti-magic for the most part and so were Night Elfs but with the Cataclysm I guess they're adapting and accepting magic.
Everybody on the Hoard can be Hunters now and everyone in on the Alliance can be Mages and Priests
The weird thing about the Trolls are that they're learning something peaceful like the Druids but then are learning something dark like Warlocks

Trolls practice voodoo which is a form of dark magic, which is as good an explanation as Tauren paladins worshipping the Sun. Troll Warlocks makes sense just fine, there's no reason trolls shouldn't be Warlocks, especially not with the disagreements between the Trolls and Orcs going on. Besides, Trolls are evil creatures for the most part, the Darkspear are an exception to the rule and they are still not nice guys. They may not practice cannibalism like other tribes, but they still use voodoo.

I am 99% sure Trolls can be Warlocks, I can't confirm it right now because the Beta is broken and I can't get on it, but I know I've seen it.

I dunno... voodoo is spirit power, while warlocks use demonic power. It certainly doesn't seem like trolls have had connections with demons in the past, as the other races have.

I finally get an email response about my account being stolen, and it not only says that the emails I received were scams (they weren't, they were what led me to check the wowarmory and see my character was being played) but it said to call their 800# to resolve this.

So I call their 800#. After a few attempts I get through, and their automated message says to use their email webform if my account was stolen! So I emailed them again a little while ago.

They did respond to my sisters' ticket on my behalf within 10 minutes the other day, and the next day I noticed my original Enchanting skill was restored to 412 after being changed by this thief to 450 mining. He also hasn't been on since that day, so I'm hopeful they've suspended the account while working to restore what I had. I haven't received any emails though aside from that form email telling me about the scam and to call their #.

Ugh is this all worth it?

So I've got my hunter to 66 now, just hitting my favourite all time zone, Nagrand. :)

Should I move on to Northrend early, at like 68? Is it the same drill as with Outlands? I need to ask since I've only ever levelled characters to 80 from an initial level 70.

Yeah, you'll have tons of quests to do, I never finished them all actually.

True. On my DK I did Howling Fjord > Borean Tundra > Dragonblight > Zul 'Drak > dinged in Sholozar. On my shammy I did Howling Fjord > Dragonblight > Sholozar > dinged in Storm Peaks. Both had some rested xp and I did some dungeons.

I just bought the caster heirloom shoulders and chest. Debating whether to put them on my 42 shadow priest or make a warlock. Leaning towards the lock so I dont get asked to heal :D

Leveling as a priest is mega fun. Healing randoms is a good way to learn to heal good.

Leveling as Holy is easier than Shadow I think.

Holy Fire > SW:P > Smite till dead.

I thought my Shadow Priest was the most boring character I leveled - next to my Druid (who I wanted to love, but didn't).

As for these Heirlooms - what are they? I never got to that point, and I don't quite get it. How do you buy them, exactly? And from what I understand, you can use them on any character you want (I assume you mail them - and they bind to your account)?

An heirloom is an old level 60 item on steroids.

See, they took ordinary high-end items from back when the level cap was 60, and turned them into leveled monsters. They follow your level, and increase in power along with you. They are also very good for whatever level you are at. If you give it to one of your characters that's level 1, it'll be adapted to level 1, the stats getting better and better as your progress.

In addition to that, they also give you more experience when using them on a character.

They are indeed bound to your account, so you can mail it to one character, use it, then mail it to another.

You buy them from an Heirloom Vendor in Dalaran, in exchange for a certain type of emblem.

That sounds pretty cool. Too bad I never really got to use them. So much in this game I never got to see/do/use, and never will.

Heirlooms are the best(have almost all of them but leather caster chest and shoulders) Rogue is level 78, thinking about PvPing until 80. Made him 44/2/25(23 atm) spec for PvP and it rocks.

I loved my Troll Hunter.

I hated having to keep my pet fed at later levels, and having to learn spells by taming other animals, etc. It got to be too much work.

What about feeding them? Do I still have to carry a bag of food and feed him every 2 fights?

I hardly ever feed my pet. There is a minor glyph for heal pet that increases happiness slightly. With that glyph my pets never need to eat. Maybe if they die to keep happiness up at 125%. If you look on my hunter you will see he got an item that produces fruit every 12 hours. Great item to have for the vegetarian/omnivore pets. http://www.wowarmory.com/item-info.xml?i=28111.

The Ferocity talent tree for pets has a talent that increases happiness for every critical hit or something like that, I've just given it to my cat whilst levelling since I'm not really looking to squeeze in every single damage talent, it saves alot of hassle. I never feed my pet unless it dies and even then, almost always picked up some spare meat in my travels.

All in all, I really haven't found keeping my pet happy much hassle.

My hunter just has a minor glyph that makes mend pet give happiness, I've fed it maybe twice since I hit 80. The only thing that bothers me somewhat is ammo, not that I run out, I have a 24 slot quiver so I can have 24k arrows with me at all times. It's the fact that those arrows are pricey :P I'm actually looking forward to ammo being removed, even if it doesn't make any sense.

I must say, I'm worried about Cataclysm.

It's supposed to streamline the experience, and do away with all the needlessly complicated stats business in favour of a simpler system.

Now, I'm fine with that, it could be a great improvement; spending more time actually doing quests and playing and less time looking at flowcharts to determine which combination of gear gives 1 extra attack power and whatnot.

However, I am slightly wary, since streamlining the gaming experience was exactly what SOE tried doing with Star Wars Galaxies, and failed miserably at, costing the game a majority of it's playerbase.

As for removing the need for arrows for hunters, it might not make sense from a realistic viewpoint, but let's face it; it was a pretty major kick in the nuts for hunters from the get-go. Removing it would right a wrong that should never have been there in the first place.

It has alot of potential, all in all, and I'm always one to have faith in Blizzard, since they have proven themselves to be one of the most competent game developer companies in existence. Hopefully, it won't blow up in our faces.

Well, my experience with the Beta has shown that the streamlining is working, it's good. It's really good in fact. I levelled a Worgen to around 40 and I enjoyed it so much, the questing zones are improved, the way quests are handled is more convenient and in many cases far more fun. I haven't had the chance to review the new way of handling talents in depth simply because they don't work right and are still WIP, but it seems to work very well, it changes the classes so the feel fresh without losing what made them fun to begin with, in most cases. There are changes that I'm not happy with at first glance, but they are all subject to change.

In short, my experience of the Beta has told me that Blizzard knows what they want to do with their game, and they are doing it well.

I must say, that makes me very happy to hear, it looks like my faith in Blizzard will remain strong.

I'm really looking forward to the whole remake of Azeroth. In my opinion, the new content that came with BC and WotLK is far superior to the old stuff.

Advice for Tankadins?

What's the defense cap? Is the 96969 rotation the best? How much health should I have entering regular 80 dungeons and heroics?
