Unorthodox Daedric Quests

Post » Sat Jan 11, 2014 12:30 pm

It's fairly common to see discussions on this forum around the morality (or lack of) of the Daedric princes. Even though we may recognize that these Oblivion-dwelling Et'Ada are above and beyond moral standards, we must admit that in game their quests fall into certain stereotypes. Sanguine and Sheogorath have the harmless fun element to them, Meridia is always after undead. Mehrunes Dagon and Molag Bal always have, by our standards, classically evil quests involving murder and corruption.
So lets take a moment to exercise our creativity and give the Daedra unorthodox quests that would surprise casual fans who thought their good character could do Azura's quest, because she's pretty benevolent, right?

Molag Bal asking you to defeat a corrupt rebel group that's seeking to fell the rainbows-and-flowers local authority.

Meridia asking you to kill a necromancer that's actually a really nice guy.

Hircine sending you on a quest to spread awareness of the ecological damage caused by ebony fracking.
