Can't wait for the CK and get back to modding MERP with this new engine, the possibilities are endless.

Agreed, except for me, replace 'oblivion' with 'any TES game ever made.'

I loved morrowind<3
I liked oblivion, but not as much as i liked morrowind.
I love skyrim<3almost as much as i love morrowind. Its a step in the right direction.at least i think,my opinion is that skyrim is more like morrowind then oblivion.
feels like coming home

I agree with this.

While I don't agree with the notion that Oblivion was "dumbed down" (it didn't have quite the same depth as Morrowind, but Oblivion was far from "dumb"), Skyrim is certainly a return towards the depth of Morrowind, and I would venture to state, even moreso than Morrowind.

Do you understand why any of these "Skyrim" OR "other" polls are 100% worthless? You have so many people that are new to the TES series or jumped on board with Oblivion. So at best they have TWO games to compare, one of which is awful in most ways. At worst you have a ton of people who just started playing TES games with Skyrim. Considering how many units were sold, it's not hard to fathom that they are actually at least half of the playerbase now.

The only thing Skyrim actually improved was the asethetics. The leveling system isn't really "better" as much as it is just different. There's a whole lot that was removed that didn't need to be, and no, I'm not whining about "stats".

I think that Skyrim is better than Oblivion but not as good as Morrowind.

Morrowind has a special place in my heart, this game however is much much better than Oblivion although oblivion was a good game.

You know that now - so you know who the majority of the players are - people new to the series - so now, you know what to expect - and not to cry when they move further from the past games - in 5 years when the next game comes out.

My first TES was Morrowind. After that things seemed to change in Obivion. I liked Oblivion but there was something missing. As for Skyrim, I like it more than Oblivion.

The thing I miss from Morrowind is the how different the areas look as well as weired animals. There was a zone that had a big purplle shield around it, a swamp area, a rocky area.

Morrowind had a more sense of wonder.

That all said.....Skyrim is really fun.

I am quite satisfied with the game, but i know there are some things that i miss from Oblivion, mainly the unique effects they offered.
for example : Skull of Corruption no longer makes Clones of people, i am yet to come across any Water Walking Spell/enchantment, Spell making (I can live without that and understand why it was taken out), No known possible way to alter your speed or Jump height, and Less Variety of enchantment Options.

I see a pattern on how they keep getting rid of some thing's every time they make a new game just like a lot of people have been mentioning from Morrowind to Oblivion, it would be amazing to see a Skyrim that has all that was taken out of the previous ones and still kept the amazing graphics :o

but for now i'll have to settle with this :D

Heh yeah :) i didnt mean like that.I think its cool to see every country in tamriel.and as every country IRL.it has it own culture etc.
Like cyrodiil is more medievel and peaceful and skyrim more brutal and fantasy like.and morrowind a mystical place.also amazing fantasy
love tamriel.

Skyrim is amazing to me. Actually, I do consider it more like "old TES". Skyrim is Morrowind's spiritual successor. Oblivion's world was largely dull and generic, and offer no real incentive for exploration because you could just go back to the same dungeon every three days and find the exact same inundation of daedric and glass armor that you would get if you went to other dungeons. Skyrim's world is beautiful all over, and its dungeons are unique and rewarding. And linear you say? If you find it to be so, it may be because you are choosing to play it linearly. I go all over the place when I want, and do what I want. I just wander and explore. When I think I am on my way to take on one quest, I end up side tracked by seven others before I get there - just like Morrowind, and unlike Oblivion.

I've played for 50 hours and i didn't finish the main quest. I've finished quickly the Mage Guild, and the Thieves Guild and i make a lot of missions, but i'm done. I find the lack of randomness in this game simply embarassing. It's not the world i've expected it to be. Morrowind is just epic. You are in a world, a huge world (i bet no one complete all morrowind's quest and things to do XD). In Oblivion the random feature are just awesome. U can enter in a paint, or u can make some quest like Paranoia (i bet someone will remember that XD). I find this game awesome for the dragons and the graphic, but that's it. If i could play oblivion with this graphic it will be no match for skyrim. I' m really disappointed. It's a linear and sad game if u get what i mean... what do you think?

So you haven't done A Night to Remember?
What about A Daedra's Best Friend?
Did you visit Frostflow Lighthouse?
Did you meet the madwoman in the middle of nowhere screaming something about a wabbajack?
Do you know what 'bloodiest beef in the reach' actually means?
Met Anise?
Have you red the countless journals strewn around camps and dungeons that give context and story to a good portion of the locations in the game?

Skyrim has it's flaws and frustrating elements but randomness really isn't one of them. At all.
