How mutants in cw against canon now? They U.S. Goverment wanted super soilders. The U.S. goverment used vault people as test subjects for many things. It makes total sense to me that the U.S. goverment would want to continue these experiments after the war where no one could stop them, or even know it was happening.

Now how is that against canon?

I don't really think its against canon at all. Like you said, makes perfect sense to me as well to test FEV on people within a vault, they can't get out and it allows you to continue testing after the war is over. I don't believe its ever said that FEV was only located at Mariposa, Fallout 3 just added a new place for it to be found, on the east coast.

Someone might not like that supermutants were included, but it certainly fits in with canon in my opinion.

{224}{prs36}{Actually, they worked almost exactly the way they were supposed to. You might call it a social experiment on a grand scale. }

{225}{}{An experiment?}

{226}{prs36a}{The vaults were set up to test humanity. Some had not enough food synthesizers, others had only men in them, yet others were designed to open after only 6 months. They each had a unique set of circumstances designed to test the occupants.}

The Vaults are social experiments, continuing testing FEV makes little sense, the Enclave didn't even see fit to take any too the Rig with them (hence them having to go and get some from Mariposa crica 2170's). Vault 87 & 92 are down right stupid, oh and two super soldier Vaults? The US Government had nothing to do with the Vaults, the Enclave created them and the experiments.

My info tells me that the U.S. goverment as a whole made fev, and the vault experiments.

It makes total sense that they would do this testing in more than 1 place. Unless you can find me info that says the 1 base was the only place ever even to be planned to to test fev, it is not against canon.

What does vault 92 have to do with it? Wasn t that the one by old olney?

The Vaults were built by the Enclave; what you think that Vault 87 was being built with chambers that just so happened can be used for FEV experiments, no they were conceived and built that way by the Enclave, the Vault Experiments were the Enclave's experiments. They were social experiments, or they were all supposed to be, and I quoted by source, the President of the United States himself.

Did you not even consider a word I said, ie, SOCIAL EXPERIMENTS?

Vault 92 was something to do with white noise making people into blind soldiers or something.

Unless you can actually respond to my perfectly valid points then I still think that they are out of canon.

Lyons was cautious, cautious is part of wisdom. He was still weary on attacking Enclave even at the purifier. Not until that robot started moving did Lyons fell comfortable trying to attack Enclave. He was too smart t45d tin can vs mkll tin can, telsa tin can, and hellfire tin can. Plasma and laser rifles vs laser and conventional rifles.

He was too cautious to lose any more men than he already had. He knew what Enclave was capable of from before. He was too smart to send squads through cw looking for the boogyman. They would have not come back.
Now outcasts did look for Enclave tech they were all over the map. They got some Enclave tech too........right in their eye every time they ran into them .

He did not even mention the Enclave. He was willing to throw lives away protecting a radio station broadcasting to no one. Willing to protect some water purifier on the hope it would work. But when he saw Enclave tech floating around talking about rebuilding America he thought to himself "I am too old for this crap" and ignored the threat till the very end? To when they managed to fix Optimus Prime, something pre-war America and Mr.House could not do..

Like I said in another post, the Outcast should have at least been looking for the source of the eye-bots.

To me this is why they will never expand.

They come across another faction:

Lyons "do you want to join us?"

"No we will stay independent and have nothing to do with you."

Lyons: "okey dokey, sorry to bother you."

lol That guy was not the president of the United States. The United States ended in 2077. Enclave is not the goverment and never were.

They were some dirt bag politicians, but hardly the entire U.S. government.

Way to avoid my comment. I agree with you. My point is they think they are and they are willing to kill everyone in the wasteland to get their way. The Brotherhood know this! That is why the moment they came across anything Enclave, Lyons would have dropped everything and hunted down the threat that is the Enclave. Or to at least find the tech.

Dude whatever, just give me answers to some of my actual points instead of just trying to pass this of as a response. Lol. "There's one thing I can ridicule, perhaps he won't notice that I cannot trump his logic and reasoning. Perhaps this pedantic, tangental insult will piss him off and distract him."

Pathetic really, trying to pull that trick.

He gives all the answers, tells you that they were SOCIAL EXPERIMENTS. Vault 87 was not a social experiment. The Enclave built the Vaults and they told you what there purpose was. It was not testing a virus which even they had no interest in testing.

And I said in a post agter you post that the Outcasts were all over the map and got some Enclave tech. They got it in their face, in their chest until they died every time the saw them. Lyons knew better. Outcasts were tards and got slapped by Enclave time and time again.

One the way to the purifier Sarah Lyons (who can not be killed) and I were the only ones that make it Enclave slaughters the rest of Lyons pride and random bos while a giant robot is killing them.

BOS has no chance vs Enclave head up and Lyons new it. That is why he didn t send his forces all over that wasteland on a wild goose chase to get slaughtered if they did find them.

Ask the Outcasts lol Enclave crushed them every single time. Lyons was a defensive minded tactical leader. He did not attack until he had a 97% chance of winning.

Yea lucky for Lyons Bethesda did not make it so the Enclave just attacked and killed everyone in DC the moment they showed up. It works both ways. Why did the Enclave not do anything about the Brotherhood the moment they saw them? Really it would have been a cakewalk for the Enclave to just kill eveyone in DC with plasma weapons. Lucky Bethesda has no sense of logic.

Mr. Enclave my point is that I have never found and info that states the Enclave started the vault experiment project, or fev. The United States military started fev, the United States government started the vault project. The United States government and the United States military go hand and hand. Enclave wasn t calling shots for the U.S. before the war.

Just because a basically self appointed "presedent" knows about the vaults in general does not mean he knows every single thing there was to know about them. He has random info on stuff, Enclave didn t come up wity those ideas. The U.S. was trying to win a war they did a sorts of stuff.

What makes you thing thet were trying to turn the worlds greatest musicians into soilders in vault 92. I thought they were just trying to drive them insane. See if they could stand random noise they could not control. It f ed with them, because it was messing with their music.

Is their something I missed that said something about soilders?

Maybe Enclave was going to try to take on thd role of cw heros. They may have believed they could turn the people against bos.

Enclave may not have been 100% sure on how hard it would be to storm the pentagon and take out bos. They didn t know what was all in there. How many men...... They had to attack a defended fortified area. Maybe they were not over confidant, but leaning on the side of caution as well.

Enclave themselves seemed more defensive minded. They were not out roaming the wastes. They set up shop and defended.

It was a defensive stalemate until prime.

The Enclave were calling the shots, hence the term shadow government; I thought that you still believed in that Bible quote, the one that says that the President himself went to the Oil Rig? Oh and here on the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/PoseidoNet Channel which the Enclave used (also note the Strategic Air Command and NORAD were listed on the same as the Oil Rig). The Enclave had people in the Government, they had people in the Army, I think that it's safe to say that they had people in West Tek, the creators of Power Armour, FEV and the largest military research and private military contractor; they controlled the major corporations, the government and the army... if they wanted to.

Just because a basically self appointed "presedent" knows about the vaults in general does not mean he knows every single thing there was to know about them. He has random info on stuff, Enclave didn t come up wity those ideas. The U.S. was trying to win a war they did a sorts of stuff.

See PoseidoNet again.

{220}{prs34}{Well, no. No... not quite. You see, we had planned ahead. We were ready. }
{221}{}{What do you mean?}
{222}{prs35}{We had a number of sanctuaries that would enable the glorious American civilization to endure. These facilities - the vaults - were part of the great plan.}
{223}{}{Those damn vaults didn't work the way they were supposed to. A lot of people in them died.}
{224}{prs36}{Actually, they worked almost exactly the way they were supposed to. You might call it a social experiment on a grand scale. }
{225}{}{An experiment?}
{226}{prs36a}{The vaults were set up to test humanity. Some had not enough food synthesizers, others had only men in them, yet others were designed to open after only 6 months. They each had a unique set of circumstances designed to test the occupants.}
{227}{}{What about Vault 13? What was it's purpose?}
{228}{prs37}{Ahh. Vault 13 was a special case. It was supposed to remain closed until the subjects were needed. Vault 13 was, in scientific parlance, a control group.}

He is basically saying that they planned the Vault Experiments, corroborated with ENCLAVE Vault Research Control on PoseidoNet.

What makes you thing thet were trying to turn the worlds greatest musicians into soilders in vault 92. I thought they were just trying to drive them insane. See if they could stand random noise they could not control. It f ed with them, because it was messing with their music.

From the Overseers Terminal

Personal Entry 000897332E
As per instructions, the broadcast equipment for the White Noise has been rerouted from the sound booths and tied directly into the entire Vault's loudspeaker system. I'll now be able to execute the Vault-Tec Confidential Plan WNMSCE (White Noise Mindo Suggestion Combat Experimentation). I have three of Professor Malleus's team doing what I need to get done and hope to show some concrete results soon. I had the engineers make it so the WN can be either triggered from the control cener or at the local security consoles. The password to these consoles is "UIY2249".

Personal Entry 000897357
The results of WNMSCE are even better than I could ever have imagined. The sheer strength and tenacity of combat suggestion implanted test subjects is incredible! Imagine an entire army of people who would never disobey a direct order from high command and can fight until it takes over 20 bullets to stop them.

Yeah that will do it.

My main point still stands the vaults were backed by U.S. govenment. The department of defense if part of the U.S. government. I don t see why it should be considered going against canon.

It can t be proven what every single vault was for.

Damn do t make me look [censored] up about the vaults again.

Now Im going to have to.

Questions are: why did the Enclave not occupy the Pentagon when they got to DC? Why did they not do anything with Optimus Prime? Why didn't the Brotherhood drop everything when they came across Enclave Tech (Eye-Bots) going around with a voice saying "I am John Henry Eden, your president." Brotherhood would have done everything they can to hunt down this "president." To stop the Enclave , very least to find Enclave Tech. I have alot more questions.

Edit: Lyon's mission was not to just find tech. It was to track down the Midwestern Brotherhood.

What bugs me is another part of his mission was to scout "super mutants." Why would the brotherhood care about super mutants over 3000 miles away, when they have to deal with NCR on their doorstep? A stupid new race of super mutants is a threat but Enclave in DC arn't?

As i do agree i don't think they could of done much with the whole eye bot fiasco other than just shooting them down and the enclave were dead at that point (so they thought )and it was a pre renderd message i don't think that should send them on red alert tbh maybe get them curios.And with the super mutants was it there goal before they were even at D.C ?

It specifically mentions Raiders, Super Mutants, the Brotherhood and the Outcasts; it should have been pretty clear that the Enclave were up-to-date on wasteland affairs. Hasn't Nathan being listening to it for years since he was younger and on caravans?

OK Mr. Enclave this quote is from Chis Avellone. He worked on fo2 big time as you know and here is what he say

"..... even members of Enclave probably could not answer the question of who created the vault experiments and their reasons, as many of the people responsible for the creation of the vaults died long ago, and many records were lost in the great static of 2077.
President Richardson was familiar with the porpose of the vaults, but he never saw them as more than little test tubes of preserved humans he could mess with."

So no one knows jack [censored] about the full vault project. 100% So they can do what ever they what in them. I don t think half 75% of the people on this board even know what canon means.

Avellone in his bible also says he ll leave things unanswered on purpose so they don t back themselves in a corner. "writers leave holes" I told you that long ago.

He says there are "rumored" to be 122 vaults.............. So there may be more. This is how fictional writers work. I

Richardson and the Enclave would know most about the Vault Experiments becaue the Enclave was the one behind them. By the time of Fallout 2, Vault 13 was the only one left closed. At least that was the impression I got. What ever reason the Enclave had for the experiments long ago served its purpose.

The Fallout Bible also says 122 vaults. Even :bowdown: Chris Avellone makes mistakes and really a person as busy as him can't be expected to rememebr everything he said about the Enclave over the years.

Bethesda also went and copied the Vault 13 with Vault 101 but insted of staying closed for 200 years it was never meant to open. Really what the hell is the point of that? 200 years is enough.

But a guy that has a whole lot to do with fallout said they probably didn t know everything about what they were for.

Wiki says Enclave was behind them, but wiki is the mosg full of [censored] fo story telling you ll find.

I ll take a fo devs writings about the out of game fo over wiki every single time.

FO bible is the best piece of non game fo story telling we have.

Its a guy that develops fo games. He is much more knowledgable than wiki, because he made some of it up, and was there when other people made stuff up.

He is saying Richardson is not a vault expert.

Any time a writer says "maybe" "rumored" "could have" They are leaving a hole for themselves to continue the fictional story. Spoken words in a game don t always make what is said canon.

undisputed events that took place that you saw or are confirmed by many in game sources is canon. Not some fake president flapping his jaw.

"I did not have sixual relations with that woman Miss Lewinski"

So if Bill Clinton said that in fo it would be canon?

I can t remember if it mentions all that until they show up.

Before they show up I don t think it mentions specifics

Again I retired from fo3 long ago. I can t remember everything.

Start a game come out of the vault turn the Enclave channel on and I bet he s talking baseball and apple pie, not bos or outcast until they show up.

When it comes to the Enclave and Vault experiments the info on Wiki you will find it mostly comes from the Fallout Bible. So was Chris Avellone wrong when he wrote and published the Fallout Bible or was he wrong whenever it was you got that quote from?

E- Must try harder.

Enclave was never at the Citadel (Pentagon). So most of your post is rendered pointless.Brotherhood sent a scouting party to salvage tech from the ruins and the surrounding area. They didn't even know of the Enclave's presence in that area until they attack on Project Purity.

So explain why you think Bethesda 'ruined' the series. Considering you probably never even heard of the series before playing Fallout 3 I'll bet.

Also, this is the New Vegas forum. should be in the Fallout 3 forum.

Why are you so worried about it...its perfectly fine. They didnt THROW them all across the map...get your facts straight. They are in the East where Bethesda put them and in the west...now is that alot of locations...no.
