So I'm in astrid's room in the dark brotherhood sanctuary and I can not find it anywhere and I am really far in the game so i don't wat to restart is there anything I can do to get this gem.

Also, what version of Skyrim? Oldrim or Skyrim: SE?

Had this problem myself until I started the quests.
