An Unusual Googly Eye Problem

Post » Sun Nov 21, 2010 4:19 pm

Hello! I have an usual googly eye issue. I know all about the usual causes and the usual fix; multiple cosmetic mods, mismatched meshes and textures, fix with bashed patch. No issue there, usually.

Mine is different though. I only have googly eyes WHEN i used a bashed patch, and only on some NPCs - notably all the Thieves Den NPCs. As soon as I uncheck thte bashed patch, no more problems. Started following COBL installation. I tried rebuilding my batched patch in various ways, unchecking or checking all the optional "Face" merge options - to no avail; if I Bash, it goes Googly.

I dont want to stop using a bashed patch though. This is obviously caused by the bashed patch's attempt to FIX googly eyes, only it causes it in this case.

So my question is: can I tell Wrye Bash NOT to try to "fix" googly eyes? I know its been an automatic feature for a long time, but its just being an issue for me right now.

Thanks for any help

The question I have is do you have race records box on your bashed patch checked. If so what in that is checked. That is what was causing my google eye.

Gah, I was sure i had tried unchecking that and the problem was still there? But I just did it again based on your advice, and this time it worked. I think the first time I only unchecked the components, on the right, whereas this time I unchecked the whole category on the left. I hadnt realized that this would give a different result. Whaddaya know! Well I have normal eyes and a batched patch, not touching anything!! :)

Thanks a ton.
