Yeah the problem is that, if you've been following this forum closely over the last year, almost all the threads that you see today are a copy/paste of the 50 identical before them. Of course if you just got here, everything seems new, but for those of us who've seen 30 threads about spears, dlc, werewolf, levelscaling, graphic you name it, and answered 30 polls about which console you're buying skyrim for, etc., it is becoming pointless.
I guess that's the reason we are so eager to get something new. Pretty depressing to know that we weren't "allowed" to see the quakecon footage and the tidbits we got to see from PAX. I don't want to think about the state of this forum if no one got to see those "illegal videos".
I'm very into skyrim, I think the game looks awesome and I'm sure it'll meet all of my expectations, but I despise almost everything surrounding it (their "silence" marketing campaign based mostly on Oblivion's success, steamworks, hardcoe fan base handling, etc).
It's good to see that someone here actually thinks, lol. And, I haven't been enrolled long, but I know how these forums work. I've definitely had my share of seeing repeated posts, etc. I've followed Skyrim closely since its announcement, so most of the topics these people are posting are nothing new, and it is sad. Although it's a discussion, I feel like carrying on one topic into 4 was never necessary, at least for something uncertain. You would think even with so much anticipation, people would use their head and not use rinse and repeat to keep it going. I think it should end, and just have an announcement in the main section. It would certainly help with all the clutter that is already on there. I mean, in the end it's no different than a topic like "This is what I think should happen" or "This is what I don't like." I didn't think I'd come to an official forum of Skyrim, and find kids bickering about what's not included, what isn't announced, isn't delivered, etc. That's why I found this to be disrespectful in the first place, along with those other threads.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine. I was happy to see the footage, but it was removed faster than I could breathe. I ended up sharing one video with the community, and it was immediately removed. The whole 'we don't want shaky cam footage' thing is understandable, but I think Bethesda wants to deliver it themselves, not have someone who doesn't have the right show it first. Well, they do have the right in a sense, but Bethesda wants first base. lol
