Upcoming gameplay video thread - #9 - with update from Bethe

Post » Thu Sep 08, 2011 8:03 pm

I'm watching it right now. It's an HD video that's similar to what we've shown folks at E3, QuakeCon, and PAX. It's divided into three parts and features light commentary from Todd Howard.

It's definitely your best opportunity to see (and hear) the game in action.

Uh oh....

Thank you for the updates, Matt. It's really busy at work right now so I'll just head off and get things done!

Thanks Gstaff! I'm glad my experience with Skyrim won't be ruined any further! As much as I hate spoilers, they are always interesting...

I was one of them :teehee: but yes, agreed! Hopefully there isnt too much talking~ i want to hear the music~

Ah, such a "diplomatic" answer. I, for one, CAN wait for the video; but it will be nice to have some high-definition footage.

Does anyone even know what they showed at PAX? I just don't remember hearing about a demo at PAX besides letting people play the game.

Same thing they've been showing for the past 8 months pretty much.

If the Video is in 3 Parts, then it will maybe just be 20 Minutes or 1 Hour 30 Minutes

That was from the hands on demos. Todd's presentation has been the same thing, give and take a little here and there, since the world exclusive Game Informer reveal in January.

So it's the same E3/Pax demo that we've seen pretty much over and over and over?

I was hoping it was new footage.

So long as Bethesda keeps it's word and releases it soon and not later on before release, then I'm content to wait. :]

there's no reason to bash Bethesda for releasing the demo late because they want to satisfy all.

I know I'm a bit late but I can't believe no one replied something like: "Well if that was the case then why are Xbox users getting DLC's earlier?"

Question: is the gameplay video a fully new version or just an old version that you have reused (but perhaps cut out some parts, etc)?

Meh, not that I can't wait that much, but I just can't see why not to release the English version first, and the rest later. It's not like no one but English-speakers will see it, it's just the VO that is not what that video is about. And they could make subtitles - that would take a few hours per language at the most (not that even that is necessary - every self-respecting gaming website would make own subtitles if needed). So their logic is beyond my understanding.

Yes

We actually don't know that, I honestly hope they filmed a new one, even in the same areas. Gstaff said only that it's similar to what we've seen

2 hlvr: just read the OP, that's all we know
