I have yet to see what it did "fix". I'm sure what it was an update to fix to a name they misspelled in the credits... :swear:

Is this an update for the Xbox 360 version?

I just restarted the game and it didn't say there was an update. Maybe I need restart my console and sign into Live again.

I would try it. Since you just restarted it go through it and see what, if anything, has been fixed/changed. If you notice anything post about it if you could.

You know this because you downloaded the update, played the game and still got a corrupted save.

OR...

You tried to load an already corrupted save files?

If it's the latter then I wouldn't say it's not fixed just yet. My belief is that they can fix the bug(s) that created the corrupt save, but not the corrupt saves themselves.

Nope it still didn't say there was an update. I guess they're rolling out the update slowly. Maybe it's a region by region update. I'm central time.

yeah, I didn't think of that. I tried to load my [censored] up save files which are already done with. Too angry over my save being ruined. oh well

I don't know.....I'm central time too (Mississippi). Who knows. It's probably a waste of your time anyways. Like I said I haven't noticed any "fixes" yet. I just hope I'm wrong and it did fix something.....I can hope I guess.

Alright, I found a way to force the update. For anyone who isn't getting it:

1) Go to My Xbox -> System Settings -> Network Settings.
2) Choose Test Xbox LIVE Connection (it will sign you out).
3) After it's done, sign back into Live.
4) Start FNV and it should prompt you to download the update.

Oh my God Bethesda you are awesome!!! My game freezing when I try to enter a Casino is fixed! I have only tried one of the Casinos, but it worked just now. I knew patience would help me haha. I thought I was being optimistic when I said to my friends over at Bungie.net that it would be up by Monday. But you guys worked fast. Top notch developers. In a game like this you can't expect all bugs to be found right away like they can be on such a massive scale as the community. The important thing is fixing these things quickly when they do arise. So good job Bethesda!

Wait just a doggone second. Are you telling me that it this possible update may have FIXED what was causing the corrupt saved game/missing DLC problem, but not the saved files themselves? I hope that is not the case, I really and truly do. If it is not, then that is pure BS. I have never had a migrane before, but I swear is trying to develop because of this....$60...gracious almighty! :dead:

I am guessing the patch did not even touch the save game bug, since in bethesda's post 2 days ago they said they were still trying to replicate it. I think this is the same patch the PC got, so it does not help with the xbox360s specific problems. This patch just fixes a few broken quest scripts. I'd bet we will have another patch next week to fix all the major stuff.

They couldn't save corrupted files in FO3 patches, and I suspect this won't be different. Unfortunately, if you're stuck with nothing but corrupted saves, you'll probably have to start over. Instead of letting it frustrate you, think of how much experience you gained from your first attempt. You'll be able to play through the beginning much more efficiently.

The corrupted save files are more than likely lost. That's just the way things go. What you should be concerned about is corrupting your next save game. I want to play Fallout but I'm scared to waste another 10 hours only to get my file corrupted. I want to know it's fixed before I go back in and play.

No i will not do this. There is nothing worse then a redo.

Think of it this way. A save file has 100 blocks of information (for the sake of this point). Now, you performed a series of actions that deleted blocks 13-27 and 49-63. Meanwhile, another player has done similar actions, save one. His files are corrupted and they're missing blocks 2-12 and 84-99. How exactly is a patch supposed to repair/replace those missing/corrupted blocks of information?

I'd still be pissed if I was in your shoes, pissed about the bug to begin with. However, I would not be angry because they couldn't repair my corrupted files, because it's common sense that they could not do that.

You drama queens. Be patient enough for them to get the patches out. If they waited for one massive update you would complain they were slow.
