That would be your DLC installing.

Well I just checked on my ps3 and there was no new patch. So I'm guessing your "update" was just steam installing everything after the download was complete.

let me add a little info. so i bought and DL'ed all the DLC. it showed one DL of 300+ megs... i', guessing that was the DLC i cant remember what it said now... but the game was ready to play for at least an hour... then when i was back to select games, it started updating IDK, i'm guessing the 4 diff DLCs wouldnt only be 300megs, just assumed because it sat there for a while updated it was done. i'm on PC BTW too... i'll just assume its the rest of DLC. i thought it was over. thanks.

And don't forget your downloads pause when you play a game.

So if it'd say the downloads are finished in an hour and you'd be playing a game for an hour then the downloads will not be finished, because they've been on hold.

OMG! Thank you for posting about the automatic downloading of DLC. I have a satellite connection with a DL limit of 17 GB over 30 days and I had just about hit my max after downloading STALKER: Call of Pripyat. I bought the NV DLC on sale from Steam today and because of this post I was able to pause the automatic DL and save myself from bandwidth restrictions for a month.

Could you possibly get a different Internet connection? Slow Internet is better than limited Internet in my opinion.
