For those interested in fast travel this is what pete said on twitter...

"DCDeacon @KEN_Hauge Not talking about fast travel yet. Still working on some things. Yes, better than Oblivion. Best game BGS has ever made."

Sounds promising! Best game ever!

The magazine stated that there would be fast travel though.

By the end of the month they will probably have given us a little bit of gameplay videos right? What do you guys think.

Nope. I remember distinctly the GI coverage wouldn't include that.

Gotta escalate the goodness till november, mate.

Well people are saying no gameplay in the hub, but STILL haven't seen a link to confirm that.

Yes. And that is pete saying that it will be better than oblivions. That's also pete saying skyrim is bgs's best game ever.

Yes, but it did not say exactly what kind if I recall? I'm hoping it means they will have Oblivion fast travel and Morrowind fast travel. Or at least something similar so everyone is happy.

Doubt it.

Once the GI exclusive ends, we'll probably get an official trailer in late February/early March with little glimpses of gameplay. Then they'll probably start their 7000 part mini-series--"The making of the Steps"

Well, unfortunately the magazine only told us that it is possible to travel to any previously discovered location with a single click of a button. Doesn't sound very promising...

What's the difference if you click on a location on the map and fast travel there or if you pay for a service (like boat or animal) and travel there. Either way you're getting "teleported" to the location.

Pete is also probably never going to say, "it's just as bad" or " skip this title, not our best work" either.

It says that eggy32 is not online right now, ill make the next thread if nobody minds.

@Wyatt Hertz

I was thinking thats what they would do but I was not sure. I have been away from the forums for a while and I did not know exactly what people's feelings on the subject were. People still say there wont be a GP video but I would like to see a link before ruling it out.

I wouldnt mind seeing how they made the steps :P

Thats right, but it gives you the feeling it's nothing unnormal imo.

What's the difference between fighting a foe and having him go argh and drop at your sight ? Either way he's dead.

He wasn't saying that. It's a bit misleading because he was asked two questions at once - will the fast travel be better, and will Skyrim be better than Oblivion. The first question was answered by saying they weren't prepared to talk about fast travel yet. The second was saying Skyrim will be better than Oblivion, Beth's best game yet. People have taken the second answer to be an answer to the first, when actually no answer was given in reply to the fast travel question.

The second one requires tons of mojo.

Have the updates generally all been around a certain time? Was wondering if I should constantly be on the alert, or if I can go about my day is usual until about the time we think it might be.

because if there are certain fast travel locations; like boats and animals then you are forced to walk some distance at least, especially if they are only in major towns/cities, whereas with normal fast travel you can teleport there from anywhere so there is very little walking and exploration

He's also said he played Oblivion way more than Morrowind. :P Not very promising either.

I think that might be overdoing it just a little. One or the other I say, and I'm leaning towards Morrowind's.
