This better not mean there's only one perk per weapon. That would be crap, I thought perks were added in order to add variation and make the weapons seem different. One perk per weapon will hardly do that, especially since the perks mentioned in the quote don't really seem to do all that much.
Later on it mentions shield perks (plural), so I'm not really sure what to think.
I'm pretty sure it's multiple because he used perks (plural) for daggers later on in the article.
I look forward to applying different finishing moves against the Elk population of Skyrim.
I too thought of this...
Now that I think about it, crossbows and throwing weapons would be out of place anyway. Crossbows are a bit "techy" for nordic barbarians (although I would appreciate the variety...) and throwing weapons... well, what serious warrior uses throwing stars?
Vikings used to throw spears...two at the same time. It was a tactic used more for frightening then actually doing damage but they still did it.
Anyway, I'm quite happy with the information. Especially the fact that playing as a assassin-esque character will finally be as it should. The new magic system actually has me interested in playing a serious mage character. Something I've never done before. Even archery sounds awesome!
"Depending on your weapon, the enemy, and
the fight conditions" That last part has alleviated my fears somewhat. That seems to mean there are multiple finishers not only per weapon and per creature, but multiple ones within that depending on the fight conditions. That is very good.
