Magic sounds like it's really interesting now. The article implies, at least to me, that spears/crossbows/thrown weapons aren't in. That's ridiculous in my opinion, but whatever...
Liked the new info but I would have preferred a screenshot... This big combat update didn't tell us very much more than we already knew. The only thing that I was excited about was when they mention you can use spells in different ways. Dual Flamethrowers ftw
I wonder if you can, say, freeze the ground so that the enemy bails on it, then finish him off with a super powerful flamethrower, on a stab in the tummy

The fact that Bioshock was an influence on the spell casting - I'm really hoping we can use telekinesis spells to whack some fools in the head with big rocks a la telekinesis plasmid
"Keeping in line with the philosophy of making the combat more tactile, Bethesda took inspiration for its spell casting from an unlikely source in Irrational Games' BioShock. Fighting his way through the city of Rapture, Howard was impressed with how Ken Levine's team visualized the power of the plasmids in your hands. They're adopting a similar approach for Skyrim."
I've been wondering if spell-casting was going to be like BioShock.
cant wait to assassinate with daggers with my assassin character. and bethesda did a good thing taking notes on bioshock as plasmids are awsome and bioshock is one of my top 5 favorite games
