by accident I stumbled upon it before I saw this post, checking launcher out of boredom and stumbled upon a 12GB patch ^^ rather now than next week

I think it makes a small update to the actual launcher first then comes back for the rest.

Hate to spoil your fun, but there will be allot more than 350mb after the initial launcher patch, at least for most ppl here.
