So you don't complain that on the next beta day you can't download because it's too slow or gives an error, doing it in bits like this allows you to save time for the next beta, and pretty much the whole launch day.

I think the media invites are allocated into the PTS group. We are subject to the kiddie table for the time being, while the grown ups feast in the dining room.

700 MB IS A LIE

It started as 700mb patch, Dled half of it and bang , now it says 3.5 gb.

mine is downloading like bits of 1gb every 5 min or so, downloading at 30mb/s so im fine, weird though.

This is a big patch. So far downloaded 700mb, then 40mb and now 3.5gb.

Only graphics and Audio take up that much space -- editing quests / chars etc are really "simple" data changes. They did say they are updating music and some NPC audio as well.

I'd say it's because this weekend's beta is extended only to the media guys. I don't know that for certain, mind you. However, it seems to be the case.

That is definitely one way to look at it. I actually contemplated participating any any more beta as to not tire or spoil any more than necessary. Still, I logged in excess of 12 hrs a day over the last test. i don't see this one being any different.

kehaha- i was just looking at 700mb and went "pshh, i could download that any day, i don't wanna go through the work of starting my stationary and fetching the screen and everything again.." -then the megas have turned into gigas-..... which is incorrect since the order is Fresh, In-training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega, Ultra.

and that said; it would be so fun if they had us sitting on pins and needles thinking we'd even get a key to the next beta, i mean, that's not guaranteed, right?

just saying, if they let so many play last weekend could have been just to test the servers, might not be the case this time around, so none of us "regular people" get to play until the early release- mwahah,

though i'm just grasping at straws here, high probability i'm wrong and we get something in the coming few weeks anyway-
