I think whilst it has revolutionised the way i want to play games in the future some much needed updates and features would really make the game a absolute classic!!

Dedicated servers to prevent the current lag issue or search options where you can search for good connection and if your connection drops below a certain level you get kicked from the game to stop your poor connection impacting others!

An option to lobby with friends before you search for a game online in order to let you both join the same game rather than looking for seperate games and trying to join one with a space in before it gets filled.

The fact that turrets cant be repaired until they are "downed" if they get slightly damaged you should be able to repair them and it should also highlight friendly turrets in the area as an engineer so you can repair them also.

Engineers can remove hack boxes far too quickly it should take roughly the same time to remove the hack box as what it does to hack with the hack boxes.

Just wondered what you all thought of that especially the developers and please feel free to add any more ideas

Dedicated servers won't happen on consoles, that would take a serious overhaul of the game.

A lobby system would be nice, but I haven't had any problems with not enough space.

Repairing the turrets would be nice, but the hack box removal seems fine to me. The further the hacking progresses, the longer it takes to remove. It's much easier to take off the HE charges.

Why disnt they put dedis in to begin with. Just feels like they are trying to save money at our expense. If this is the case then I would be pissed off.

Removing the HE charges isn't really a problem as they don't take that long to plant but the hack boxes can be removed far to quickly even when at 99%. On the lag issue I do feel that search restrictions for good connections would be a vast improvement, and lobbies seem to me to be a glaring omission from a new multiplayer game. Aside from a lack of launch maps I cant think of anything I would change that hasn't been mentioned above.

The engineer bomb removal perp isn't that bad, you need credit to purchase that ability and anyone preoccupied with arming/disarming/hacking are easily sitting ducks.

As the wonder pets say (sons favorite cartoon) "What's gonna work? teeeam work".

Some modes I would like to see….

1. Last man standing match, teams fight to the last enemy is downed. No re-spawns, but a time limit is warranted.

2. A mode where you have to rescue and escort a teammate, the teammate is handcuffed and bulletproof but can walk about freely but at an extremely slow pace (wounded and bound). The kidnappers/arresting officers can only put down/knock out the hostage/prisoner with a melee attack. He will remain unconscious for a brief time, or be revived by medics. The hostage/prisoner/escortee can’t use weapons they can only move around freely at a slow pace. The escortee/hostage/prisoner is picked randomly and can accumulate points by staying near teammates and/or away from the enemy.

3. And the classic team death matches, conquest modes- capturing and holding command posts to gain points, and capture the flag modes would be cool too.

A party or lobby system is the only huge glaring issue with this game for me. It really defies logic as to why this feature isn't in the game when it's entirely a strategic, class based team game. I'd love to hear what their thought process was behind excluding this feature from the game.

You pretty much answered your own question. Very few console games get dedicated servers, for the most part it's only huge games with big financial backing that have them. Brink is a brand new IP, so it's a bit unrealistic to expect servers for the console ports. It's expensive to run those servers. Not that I don't want them, I just understand why they aren't there.

The thing with the lag in this game though, is that when you have it, it's pretty terrible. But some games run quite smoothly. Because of this, I'm thinking it can be improved upon greatly with some tweaks to the netcode or just better host selection. At least that's my hope.
