Hey Guys, Im new to Fallout 3 and to the G.E.C.K and have only just discovered Miamimus's excellent tutorial on Fallout 3,Blender,GIMP,NifSkope anf GECK. However I need to clarify a point that is made on page 94 of that GECK Manual pdf as it states NOT to install 1.5 ! Is this now out of date advice as all mods are updated anyway ? I im 2 weeks into fallout 3 while I realise its been around for what ? 2 -3 years ? Can someone clarify this point please ?

ya, v1.5 is bonked. Just install the v1.7 patch and go from there.

Just to add to that, a heads up for anyone else lagging behind like me , FO3 1.5 = bad, GECK 1.5 = good.

FO3: 1.7
GECK: 1.5

Yeah... 1.5 Geck is good. 1.5 of Fallout is not.

Thanks For the clarification. My BAD. I thought it was the GECK 1.5 but Miamimus was referring to Fallout 3 1.5. Sorry for the confusion guys. My fault for cramming to the wee hours of the morning.

I thought the G.E.C.K.'s v1.5 dialogue something was messed up, I think it was lip-synch....perhaps?

If I remember correctly, *.lip file generation has been broken since the Oblivion CS was updated to v1.2. I don't think anything has been broken in the GECK's update, and several features have been added.

Yea to make lip files, go to fallout3nexus and search for LIP TEMPLATE. Then you can DL the oblivion CS v1 and make the lip files.
