'Upgraded' Elements

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:58 pm

For Skyrim, I'm hoping that there will be a way to upgrade the three elements (Fire, Frost and Shock) into something better. For example, an upgraded version of fire would be to cause Disintegrate Armor and Weapons and also cause damage over time, while Shock could have a Chain Lightning effect where the lightning passes from one enemy to the next, and frost could slow an enemy down, including their attacks, and also cause damage over time. There could also be multiple 'paths' for the element to take, and each mage can only take one for each element. What do you guys think?

How does it go, the Ayleid consider fire to be a corrupt form of light. So perhaps access to something new dug up from the knowledge of the past?

Kinda like making a spell that does fire damage + destroy armor over time? Or a spell that does cold damage and drains speed for a duration?

Chain Lightning would require some new projectile types unless you would satisfy yourself with an AoE on target lightning spell.
