Upgrading Securitrons

Post » Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:46 pm

Hey, just wondering... if I'm planning on having the NCR take over New Vegas.. what happens if I upgrade the securitrons for Mr. House? He's still alive... I plan to kill him... or at least.. disable him. Either way he's not getting the platinum chip.

The last time I played through I chose an independent vegas. This time I want to see the NCR take over. I don't want to lose the option if I upgrade his systems.

I'm in the bunker under fortification hill right now.

Thanks :icecream: have some icecream.

The only faction who will get to use the Securitrons are Mr. House and Yes-Man, so no, no securitrons for the New California Fascists.

Also. SHAME on you for choosing to kill/disable Mr. House :slap:

Eh, House is overrated. I can do his job better than he can! =D

There's a quest glitch that you can try.

Start the Yes Man line of quests until you get the "Don't Tread on the Bear" and "Beware Caesar's Wrath!" quests. Then STOP doing Yes Man quests and help House until you witness the Securitron upgrades. For some reason, doing one quest line will not trigger the infamy associated with quests triggered from another quests line. After the Securitron upgrades, go nuts and kill/disable house!

Dude enough with the House fanaticism. It's getting boring for us regular posters.

I wanted to do that in my first playthrough. Guess you can't have a perfect wasteland.

Actually, if you do the NCR quests you can go back and do the Yes Man quests. You can then Kill House (The deciding factor for me is when he stubbornly insists on killing the BoS—that is non-negotiable :flame: )

Then you can decide not to let Yes Man take over the Lucky 38. He'll stand there for eternity like a... well, like a dumb robot. Then you can go do the finish with the NCR.
